Last gen was crap (IMO so no offense) it turned a hobby into something mediocre by providing subpar gaming expereinces all the time most stuff was meh then everything became broken needed patches was sold half finished with DLC
The generation was so long by 2010 everything started to look the same (then Battlefield3 and SaintsRow3 and some other games added some nice effects that made gaming fresh visualy for 1 year and then everything became samey again)
The generation was also way to westernized
Last gen was the worst gen I ever experienced (excluding this gen) with focus on nonsense instead of fun.
This gen started even worse in some aspects (why do I have to pay a fee for online when the only reason for them to have a fee is that they DO NOT WANT me to play on player hosted servers with friends because they would have no excuse for a fee if I could play with friends for free. Keep the fee for official servers that are used for tournaments or ranked games!) Also this gen is underpowered day1 so if they plan on having the same life cycle as last time the games will even faster run with less than 30FPS to avoid visual stagnation.
The first 1.5 years of this gen were also completely wasted compared to last gen which had great games in the same period.

what are you talking about Wii was awsome, did you even play games like both super mario galaxy, skyward sword, pandoras tower, xenoblade chronicles, twilgiht princess,Metroid prime trilogy,Smash bros, kirby return to dreamland and kribys epic yarn. GREAT GAMES

That's how I feel too. Something constantly popping up on screen, killing immersion and focus on gameplay. DLC. RPG and whatnot elements tacked to every game no matter what genre.
I look at the SSX series and I see 4 fun games released during 6th gen and only one in late 7th gen and it was annoying and no fun at all. Maybe this example doesn't give 7th gen justice but it makes me wonder.

Aren't they what make or break a gen? Oh, and your claim that PC doesn't have any AAA exclusives is factually incorrect. Within the last year the PC has receive Atilla: Total War and Civilisation: Beyond Eath, as well as many others, which are not only AAA exclusives but are really good games as well. |
You cant compare the 8 Gen Library yet. This gen hasnt even finished. Now when it comes to this gen bloodorne is allready my all time favorite of this gen and better than any game from 7th gen, in my opinion.

Yeah i wanted to talk about that too but my post is allready too large. Last gen a lot of japanese devolopers tried to outsource their games for example which i never liked. This is now changing thanks to the weak yen, japanese devolopers have to devolope their own games finnally. I felt that since Resident Evil 5 came out we havent got any segnificant high budget AAA title from japanese devolopers in the last gen.

So the 8th gen library isn't good enough to compare yet? Surely 7th gen > 8th gen until it catches up then, no? Besides you aren't just claiming that 8th gen > 7th gen, you are claiming that the 7th gen was the worst ever. Do you really think the 7th gen library of games is worse than every single gen before it? |
Yes i do and a lot of people think that way too. 16 bit, 32 bit era and 6th gen had certainlly better games than 7th gen.
For consoles, I definitely preferred 6th gen to 7th gen overall. OG Xbox had the best exclusives and most diversity of content imho compared to 360/X1. 8th gen the jury is still out. I mostly play PC tbh.
Yeah I'm just glad Nintendo is back to failing. They piss me off as a company.
as someone who likes FPS, yes the 7th gen was bad, we havnt seen a good fps in years(not counting arma and cs:GO, arma is a first person war simulation, not a shooter and CS:GO is a remake). the quality of FPS went down for a decade.
