If the cutscenes are long is a problem ok... but in a 300 hour game... how much represents those cutscenes from the complete game? Maybe a 1% of the total lenght, maybe a 2%? Very tiny flaw if you ask me. They say the story is good, just slow and long.

About 12 hours. A rushed playthrough of this game is 100-110 hours long.

Wrong about exclusive content being rated higher or something else?

The DAI score is higher on ps4... why? Obviously because the amount of sony related webs giving the game higher scores. Best version is PC, and the XBO version is the same as the ps4. So why is 4 points down?

That would be a reasonable argument if the PS4 version of the game had notably less reviews than the PC, but it's 43 for the PS4 and 45 for the PC so there's no reason to discount the PS4 score as being an aboration.  If anything you could just average the two to get the actual score if you were so inclined.  Reason that the PS4 version scored higher is just because of the randomness of reviews, but you can't discount that score as inconsequential because it has as many reviews included as the PC.

Im a PC fanboy, also calling people fanboys is a bannable offense.

I don't see how the cited post refered to any concrete person in particular and no use of fanboy. If calling someone a fan becomes a bannable offense VGC is at the end.

I guess I was thrown of by "its all the Sony fans". But Im sure thats perfectly healthy

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Famitsu is one big joke lol.

Some old scores for comparison:

Demon's Souls 29/40
Final Fantasy XIII-2 40/40

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was amazing.  Have you played it?  its one of my faviorte games from last gen.

Dang, you should play Xenoblade Chronicles.

FFXIII-2 was better than Xenoblade in my opinion. And I have a right to say it since I for one have played both.

Xenoblade is better than Lightning Returns though.

I've played both as well, and I'd say FF XIII-2 is laughably worse than XC. Maybe it's the lack of a real party, maybe it's the fact that the game revolves around side characters, maybe it's the abundance in which you are forced to revisit the same areas to progress the story, or maybe it's the fact that the level designs still lack space (for the most part), but eh.... To it's credit, it is better than XIII as far as the world goes though (not characters).

Souls fans probably won't like that one. I think Famitsu also gave Metroid Other M a higher rating than Metroid Prime.

Far Cry 4 is rated 85 on PS4, 80 on PC and 82 on XOne. Which score should I choose to represent its quality? Id choose the 85, under the assumption that the PC crowd was jaded over optimizations and the XBox crowd over resolution. Its no secret that DAI wasn't well received on PC at launch because it had poor mouse and keyboard support. I have no idea what beef XBox owners have with it though. The game at its best is an 89. My original point, which you just supported, is that exclusive content tends to have an advantage in regards to review scores. By and large DAI did not have that advantage, but at its best was deemed worthy of an 89. But you would rather pick the lowest score to make the gap between it and Smash/Bayonetta larger. My other point was that it offered a lot of content and a better story than those two which would appeal to more Western gamers hence it winning so many GOTY awards >_>

I don´t choose the lowest score, you are chosing the higer for some reason. 85 on pc, 85 on xbo, 89 on ps4. Wich one you choose? 89, of course. Why? because it makes your point more valid, or so you think, but it doesnñt. That Farcry 4 exemple is just giving me the reason. Why ps4 has the higer score? because is on ps4 and there´s lots of Sony related webs that gives ps4 games higher scores, is obvious. DAI has a wonderfull optimization on PC, it even works on my laptop at 1080p 60fps on medium-high. And my laptop is 2 years old and not very expensive, I usually play only on my PC, that is stronger.

Very tiny flaw if you ask me. They say the story is good, but the cutscenes are long and slow. I would be ore worried about the story being bad. And again, a 2% of the game doesnñt represent the whole thing.

Length of cutscenes is just one part of the story. As outlawauron said, two cutcenes can have the same length, but one can feel longer than another due to pacing and tempo differences.  I think he explains it well here. The quality of the overall story won't take a hit, necessarily, but presentation is also important.

OT: 34/40 is a good score. Yeah, it's lower than Xenoblade's score, but doesn't make the game any less enjoyable.

I believe Metroid Prime never caught on like other Metroid games because it had a First Person perspective.

Honestly I didn't consider your posts to fit in that category of, "making it seem worse than it is." The following is perfectly reasonable.

"I have no doubt it will score well in the West but I just don't think it will score better than the competition. I don't see it scoring higher than Bloodborne or the other 2 competitors (MGSV/TW3)."

Whereas saying the game "didn't do well" or "it was overrated anyway" is ridiculous based off one review.

I don't really understand why there's all this argument and so many posts about one lone review.

It's just one review, and it's still a reasonably good review. If it was a trend then perhaps there's some argument to be drawn but with the game coming out in a week, then why not just wait and see more?

At any rate it's far from over for the game, and it's far from the end of the Wii U. Different people have different tastes and taking one lone review (or four, given how Famitsu works), whilst it's all we have, doesn't make a lot of sense to me when we can get a load more feedback and opinions in a week.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
