If you have not played Darksiders II yet on the other consoles, It is a very underrated game imo and yo should be able to get it dirt cheap now - not a Nintendo game but still a good one

You can buy Fire Emblem on the VC for a few bucks too- I like RPG s so I have played more VC it seems than Wii U games

Lego City is pretty cool too- a 2nd party game it is single player only but is often described as GTA Lego style

Obviously it depends on what games appeal to you but the most time consuming are easily Hyrule Warriors and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Other great games that are a must are Bayonetta 2 (which you already want) Pikmin 3 (which I think you want) LEGO City Undercover (IMO, the best LEGO game ever made) The Wonderful 101 (same people that made Bayonetta, great under rated game) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (I am not a fan of 2d platformers and I never owned a Donkey Kong game before this, but I got this the other day and I am in LOVE with it, highly recommend)

The list goes on and on really.
But if you like time consuming games, I hope you are looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X (300+ hours long for a completionist) and Splatoon (this will obviously be like a Mario Kart or a Smash where you just want to keep playing to get better and better)

My suggestions would be 3D World super fun to play and if you like the Toad levels on 3d World you might have to go buy  Captain Toad Treasure Tracker after words so that would be two games you can enjoy.

Pikmin 3 since you like the original is amazing so you can not go wrong there

Bayonetta needs to be bought now

Also my Wild Card I think you might enjoy is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze visually amazing, challenging, and the soundtrack is awesome!

Any good ones that dont use motion? what put me off the wii is the motion, I really don't want to sit upright in view of my sense bar waving my arms around :( I like to lazy back and not move while playing games :D


Xenoblade Chronicles but the price of that game for the Wii is too steep.  Don't have that much of Wii games and I just bought the classic controller to tie up with the Wii mote.

Anyway, I realised that the games I have actually played I have had before on previous consoles or are just remastered games... So I feel, I have yet to actually experience any real Wii U game, or for that matter any real nintendo exclusive, I have owned a gameboy / gameboy advance before mainly for pokemon, and I also had a game cube, best game luigi's mansion :) but I have never really played any true nintendo games apart from wind walker. 

I am a massive sony gamer, and I despise anything xbox related and nintendo games are always the one I look at from a distance and say I want that but I don't want to spend the money lol.

I need some help picking up a game for the Wii U that I can enjoy, but also has long lasting apeal as I won't be buying any more for a long time ( have massive back log of PC / PS3 / PS4 games to play as long as new releases coming ) and also, nintendo games are really expensive. 

So I have had a look at some games, and I have compiled a list of what I think I may like, but my concerns about each one, I am hoping someone can help me choose my first real Wii U game or give me some suggestions I my have missed. I will point out, I am not interested in smash bro's or mario cart, not really my types of games tbh for solo play.

Super mario 3D world - IGN review stated its 15 hours only, and I have never played mario games before as I was never really a massive nintendo fan.

Hyrule warriors - Heard its only 10 hours long, not really played much dynasty warriors games, did play warriors orochi for abit thought it was fun

Bayonetta 1 & 2 - Played first one on ps3, loved it. The only 2 games I know eventually I will buy but waiting as I just played a hack and slash recently

Pikmin 3 - played first one on game cube, really enjoyed it back in the day, not sure if I will still enjoy it as my gaming focus has shifted now.

So thats about it, not a massive list I know, but maybe playing one will change my mind for the others ;)

Actually, most Wii games don't need you to wave around your arms. Sure the casual games and shovelware do, but most other games don't. Even games like Mario Galaxy only require a quick shake in order to perform a certain action. Simple actions like that are very intuitive and you don't need to sit upright or anything like that at all. I'm a lazy gamer too, so I know!
