I guess I should have put "neither" in the poll but I think we can all figure out which games we can't live without.

Not really, I mean quantity is pretty important. By saying one console only gets 6 or 7 games per year (considering people rarely like every sport the amount they'd be interested in would be much lower) against a console with hundreds if not thousands of games per year. That kind of quantity is pretty much guaranteed the win.

If the scenario was a more difficult choice, some might opt out of hundreds of games for some of their favorite genre. I would choose RPG's over every other genre honestly.

Console A: RPG's, MMO

Console B: FPS, action/adventure, simulators, hack & slash, fighting, flight combat simulators

Console C: Stealth, platformers, strategy/RTS, racing, survivial horror, idie

If you asked me this back in 2004, I'd choose A hands down. Back then, we had like 5 NFL games, 5 MLB games, 3 NBA games... and god knows what else. Now? As far as US sports games, we have The Show and NBA2K... that's 2 good games...2...lol

So if we're talking now? I'd have to go with B because sports games are so few in number now, that I'd be wasting my money otherwise.

If this thread is a secretly vailed Xbox flame thread..... (which might be why some went option A)

Microsoft needs to lose their "dude-bro" image of being Sports+Shooters.

 

MS need to do marketing on non sport/shooter games, and try to rid itself of the dudebro image it has.

Console B without hesitation.

I like varieties of genres besides sports and shooting like all kinds of RPGs (JRPG, TRPG, DRPG, WRPG, etc), platformers, puzzles, fighting, hack n slash, indies.....in other words, all genres.

Plus, only shootings and sports would be boring wouldn't it?

B. I like more diverse games, I don't get why they release a new cod / fifa every year, they should make one epic one, and just update it, maybe a paid DLC every year thats say £20 max that brings new maps / updated features...

I think most people see it like this:

 

Xbox = dude bros that like sport+shooters

Wii U = people(kids) that love platformers

PS 4 = everyone/everything else (or people that really love rpgs)

 

I honestly thought this was a thinly vailed XB vs PS pole.

I know PS4 has shooters too, so its not really a B but...
