And yes, pc's have a much higher marketshare than home consoles, but that's no closer to being on the topic set by OP than bringing up handhelds or mobiles.

Nintendo has owned handhelds gaming since day 1. Console gaming has not been this lopsided since PS2 era. It is a big deal. You can be sure all the major publishers see this trend.

You'd have to have architecture 'brackets', because the hardware varies and some would be more similar to the gen 6, or 7, or beyond etc...  Could be a fun analysis though.

I wanna continue the joke and say "PS3 and 360" want a word, because lets be honest, they are still relevant right now.

However it deserves it, Sony deserves PS4 being as successful as it is, maybe not as fast as it did last year (thankfully it still isn't a crazy bullet).

PS4 is dominating like the PS2 did. Time will only make it do even better.

With the resurgence of Japanese development we are seeing because of it, its having a very positive effect.

thankfully a "PS4 domination" will mean more new JRPGs and japanese games overall as we are already seeing with so many japanese games released/announced since the PS4 1st year
