The trailer was amazing. WB is putting all of their eggs in this film to success, I hope it pays off. I like how the film carries the consciousness of Superman's action from the previous film and dividing people opinion of him. Only complain I wanted to see Wonder-woman but the films is one year away, they'll save it for another trailer I hope.

This is one aspect that the Marvel refuses to tackle - the advent of metahumans and "gods". Is everyone cool with that? If I was a human and "gods" came to Earth, I'd want us to be prepared and not just be at their mercy.

Ever read JLA/Avengers?  There was a part where they went to each other's universes and the Marvel characters where shocked at how the characters in the DCU were looked upon.  They saw statues of Superman and a museum for The Flash and they got pissed!  They were like "How dare they use they powers to make people worship them!"  Meanwhile the DC guys were pissed that everybody in the Marvel Universe was scared of their heroes.

Funny how they approach superheroes on earth differently.  But then again, at least in comics annd cartoons, both universes tackle stories where people fear the heroes because they're too powerful.  Looking forward to seeing how this translates in future films.

*Poss8ble spoiler*

I seem to redall Superman getting cut by some Kryptonian metal robot. What if Batman gets his hands on that metal? Wouldn't even the odds but it could narrow the gap.

I actually like this better than the star wars trailer.

Really?  I am the polar opposite.  Super psyched by the Star Wars trailer.  Lukewarm over Dawn of Justice trailer.

it's a little different with Marvel.  Everyone is scared of Hulk even Banner.  Tony Stark is a normal human and everything is in the light with him.  What's to fear?  Thor has only been on Earth a couple times and left.  He doesn't live on Earth like Supes and he's not nearly as powerful in the movies.  Hawkeye and Widow are agents and again pretty normal humans for a governing body.  Then of course there's Cap who is an American icon and everyone knows him as well as the fact that he is not crazy powerful.

Wouldn't the existence of beings like Thor who can travel to Earth shake the whole planet? It absolutely would. There are also plenty of metahumans in the MCU but not once have we seen the general public's reaction to what's happening with the superheroes. And, thinking about it, it makes sense that these serious issues aren't talked about in the MCU - the movies are very kid-friendly.

The general public's reaction is shown in Avengers in that they are beyond grateful to be protected by these super heroes from the alien invasion that took place.  The government's reaction, on the otherhand, is shown to be much more leary of their existence, which was the whole basis for the development of the Phase 2 weapons.

Yet, I expect Civil War to discuss how people are split on reacting to seismic changes that super heroes and all have brought to society.

it takes some time for people to realize how much things have changed

few have even seen him.  They saw him in NY saving people and London (a little) saving people.  Marvel has deeper themes and while they have on the surface stuff that is very kid friendly and fun there are also deeper themes and subtext as well as excellent writing and character development in many cases.

As far as what they show us Star Wars got me much more excited.  I mean you saw glimpses of practical effects battles or very well done CGI in Star Wars.  In Batman you saw staring at the camera and some voice over.

I am Iron Man

So I can't remember where I read this but isn't the movie like during or RIGHT after the Man of Steel movie? Like it shows Lex and Bruce watching what happened? And they somehow get pieces of the ship that made Superman lose his powers? Are they going that route instead of the Kryptonite route?

Anyway this trailer was GREAT!!! Next year will be a great year for Superhero fans!

Maybe that's what Batman's suit is made out of?

That's still very weak though. That's 6+ movies in the MCU. It makes the world feel very small.

Also, where the hell is Dr Strange at this point in time?
