I'm taking the negative position. That means anyone who wants to defend the claim "God exists" needs to offer some supporting arguments.
I'll entertain the commonly refuted arguments if I feel like it, but it's likely they'll be largely ignored due to the fact that they are easily swatted by a cursory search on the internet. It isn't because I can't, and it isn't because I find you to be stupid.
Rules:
1. You get 3 strikes. If I cite 3 fallacies in your arguments, you're done, you've demonstrated utter incompetence. Please leave. This will prevent rapid-fire, haphazardly-assembled replies.
2. In order to have a meaningful debate, we need to agree on a shared view of epistemology - in this case, we'll simply consider Rationalism (that is to say that we'll use logic to test the veracity of claims)
3. Please attempt to formulate your arguments into propositional form. If you can't, it's likely I'll present them back to you in such a form along with a rebuttal to this assembly as I perceive it. I can be wrong in my construction and you must correct me if this is the case.
4. This really should be resolved by 1 but on the off-chance that it isn't obvious, leave the insults at the door.
Welcome & Good Luck!
