Would have prefered Wolf/IC's/Squirtle/Ivysaur over Roy. And Rayman/"DQ Hero" or Slime / Bayonetta over Ryu.

Maybe Ryu from Breath of Fire series?
I know that's unlikely since the series switched to Sony and now to Smartphones, but there's always hope!

Wolf and Fox are more different from each other than Marth n Roy, and there's already 4 FE characters vs 2 Starfox ones.

Yeah I just think there is already more connections there between the big N and Dead or Alives universe than there are with the Street fighter one.
