Forums - Gaming - Xenoblade Chronicles X Looks Good

Also notice the insta-teleport at 2:12. Think it's the real loading time? It's like this in Xenoblade Chronicles N3DS, so I would assume it would be.

And, to be honest, I felt like after the whole "Xenoblade X got downgraded" thread, I felt that I needed to remind everyone of how the game progressed in everything BUT the up-close "graphics" that were used in the first trailer at E3 2013. It's silly how people can be turned off by little things like that and ignore the actual purpose of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Incidentally, if you skip to 5:56 and 6:03 and see the bloody floor texture that started that whole fiasco looks fine in this footage.  I guess we'll never settle this :P

But the game does look great.  I'm even liking the character models a lot more now.  Before, I was concerned mainly about emote limitations, but in the last few videos and definitely the end of this trailer, it seems clear that won't be an issue.

I'm pretty psyched for this game. Been pumped up for it since its announcement. I'm hoping that between this and Project Treasure that it will lead to enough goodwill between Bamco and Nintendo to make a Xenosaga trilogy remaster happen. If that happens then as far as I'm concerned Wii U wins the RPG machine award.

give us a release date :(

Looks great on a quarter of a full screen.

I can't wait for the game to come out so that we finally know from the credits who's the character designer roflmao

I'll save you a long wait. Kunihiko Tanaka is the character designer.

Graphics upgrade RECONFIRMED! Lol. Honestly, I couldn't care less about some shafts of light and textures of the floor, but hey, this should get people talking.... Or not, because it's only a good discussion if it puts this game in a  negative light.

Can we get a goddamn release date already!?

Hell, I'd take a localized trailer at this point!

Looks good. But nothing beats the world of XC

The combat does not interest me whatsoever. I think we're headed for a generation of Monster Hunter RPGs. The 'open world' looks kind of barren but the background design and art makes up for that. I like how the areas are much different, especially the purple hellish looking place.

90% of that video did very little for me, until the last few minutes where it showed characters doing story-centered things. THAT is what interests me about Japanese RPGs. Most of the character models look perfectly fine to me (except the one that looks like Micheal Jackson) and I really don't care if the textures aren't "next gen" or not.

Disclaimer: keep in mind that I am not a fan of mecha, so the "BUT MECHA!!" argument does nothing for me at all.
