Forums - Nintendo - Punch-Out! On 3DS Needs To Be A Thing

This totally needs to happen. The 3DS and the 3D effect is perfect for that franchise. Also the Virtual Boy had Telereoboxer, the 3D effect worked well there too.

Oh yeah, and bring back Mike Tyson!

Couldn't cost much to get Tyson to license his rights back.

At first glance I thought this was a Punch-Out 3DS announcement thread.

I agree. I think it's a no-brainer. With the series' recent success on the Wii and Little Mac's inclusion in Smash, there's really never been a better time for a new game. And with the 3DS having a large install base, it just makes sense. Shouldn't be too difficult to develop either.

Yeah, this game can easily be an eShop exclusive..

Virtual Boy Collection needs to be a thing too, I'd like to be able to play Teleroboxer or Wario Land on VB again.

That's not a bad idea at all.

I'd love to play a game like Teleroboxer on the 3DS, taking advantage of the 3D feature really well.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Personally, I'd rather have it on WiiU; the cell-shading style would look glorious on the console, but 3DS is fine. I'm always up for a new Punch Out game. Love that series.

Just give us some new characters this time, Nintendo. I mean, they can't leave out Bald Bull, Super Macho Man, or Mr. Sandman, but last time it was chock full of repeats except for Disco Kid (who was hilarious) and DK.

You've got Rage of the Gladiator on 3DS if you want something similar. I think it's even on sale right now.

I've never played teleroboxer. is it a punch-out game disguised as a different game? or is it a unique game?

Punchout 3ds would be badass. Maybe Punchout Wii being released on VC is a sign of things to come?

I wonder if you could use the C-stick on the N3ds to move the camera around for a Punchout 3ds game. You know, to move around the ring and better simulate an actual boxing experience? Might open up the gameplay options a bit more.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

It's like Punch Out in first person, never played it myself though, just have seen others
