Forums - Gaming - So with Bloodborne being a commercial and critical success, Sony and From must be in talks for the next project, what should it be?

-Fastest selling FromSoft game

-Highest rated FromSoft game

It wouldn't surprise me if Sony and From are already discussing the next project. Now that Sony's found another source of highly rated and high selling games, I guess From will become a developer much like Insomniac was.

Potentially distressing news for other platform players though who enjoyed Dark Souls but not Dark Souls II, they may not see Miyazaki/A Team games again as long as Sony only wants their games (and I guess they only want them considering they went straight after them after DaS1 finished and the B Team should be well a year in developing their next game (pls don't let it be DaS3).

So what setting should it be? Or do you want Bloodborne 2?

I want a new setting with inspirations from the Orient (Ottoman Istanbul/Constantinople anyone?) with BB's speed(or even faster) and further refined mechanics.

I'd be surprised if their next project wasn't multiplatform again.

Whatever Miyazaki wants

Something not 'Soul" related.

Actually, I Wouldn't mind a new Otogi.

i am not sure, SonyJapan probbably gave a lot of help there too. It sure would lack the same quality like bloodborne unless a third party is really paying them enough money or giving manpower

Wrong

2 teams
Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 were developed at the same time.

If Miyazaki wants he could do another PS4 Exclusive while "Team B" is developing Dark Souls 3 as a Multiplat.
Would like that a lot - Miyazaki is deeply connected to Playstation so his games should stay with them.

Riiiiight. The same way Dark Souls lacked the same quality of Demon's Souls. Sony helped because they wanted the exclusive, not because From couldn't make a better game without them.

Miyazaki make anything you want bb, take my soul in the process, idc.

But seriously now, Fromsoftware is reaching a very high level. If they keep the exclusivity with Sony, great for both. Personally I don't find anything wrong going multiplatform as well, or make some exclusives and some multiplatform like it has been. And also venturing in other genres as well.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Want Dark Souls 3 from Miyazaki!!!

Lol, being surprised can be proven wrong now? Dark Souls was a multiplat developed by Miyazaki after he made an exclusive PS3 game. No reason he can't do it again. The only "deep connection" he has with the Playstation brand is the one you've made up in your head. The guy can make whatever he wants on whatever he wants. Looking at the success of Bloodborne, there's no way he's not thinking about making his next game multiplatform again.
