So you want capcom to try to encourage people to not use certain characters but not to have a carrot to give people a reason to play those characters online in games? The achievements set for SF4 is pretty cool in that if you were to aim to get a decent amount of them it would guide you through some of the trials and single player portions before dunking your head into the online world which would have players put off getting into the game more because of being TKO'd by people basically. Thought they done a great job with the layout of them.

I question the value of it. If someone is going to get tko'd it's just going to happen. That forces players to come up with strategies or change the way they play with a character. Beating single player mode has never reflected in my ability to beat people online. There are two very different strategies for the two more often than not. The trials do go over the fundamentals, but for a series that has been out since the 80's, the vast majority should already know the fundamentals.

One game only? No dlc?

You know that with the exception of SF4 every other version of street figher 4 can be added onto Super Street fighter 4 as a dlc expansion Super Street fighter 4:Arcade Edition, SSF4:AE 2012 (free), Ultra Street fighter 4, Ultra Street fighter 4 - Omega mode (free). They all can be gotten from xbl or psn as additions to the SSF4 disk/download version.

It kinda sounds like you already aren't bothered about the previous versions of street fighter which have the feature you are asking them to add...


I had no idea that the folks at Capcom had a shred of business sense left in them. Thanks for the info, I might actually give SFIV a spin now.

I think in this case with this, is that there shouldn't be phsyical releases of these DLC, til a final version is done. You release a vanlla version. Then the final complete game of the year version. With no other versions released in between. Also, Capcom has screwed people over. And the hate stays. I can't upgrade my MVC3 collectors edition with the Ultimate version, as DLC for example. I wasted $80. So I can't buy any fighter from Capcom, till like 4 years later. Because of this past track record.

I don't really understand this logic I'm afraid, you would have a really hard time with games like World of Warcraft too, every 2-3 years they release another expansion pack to the same game and not just a final version with all the content. You don't waste $80 by buying a version of a game which is out for 2-3 years before an expansion comes to increase the roster, unlike something such as say Street fighter X tekken where the characters were complete and locked on the disk at launch of the half a game for 60dollars, then you have a bit of a point, but at the time of SF4 launched capcom were no where near having the characters ready for Super Street fighter 4.

This game has it all. Adultery, manage a trois, orgies.....it's a PS Morpheus system seller. I expect 30 million sold in Japan alone. In the first week.

The only way that could happen would be if they slipped the first Morpheus on the guy selling copies of it, and it was the best VR imaginable that tricked the guy in the game store 30 million times :D
