Again? You can get it for cheaper if you looked before but still official is official.

Hmm, pie.

So it's about the same as in US now?

£299 is $435

correct me if I'm wrong, but the british price includes 20% VAT right?

£299 / 1.2 = £249.166 x 1.459 $/£ = $363.53

Not sure how much of an improvement that is on what you can already get it for, but at least we know why we haven't heard from MCV in a while. Maybe we will in the next few weeks.

Edit: Amazon UK already selling the basic console for £288.  Are they just announcing an official price cut because retailers are already selling it for around that price?

how many price drops have been there in the UK so far? i honestly lost count.

The Eurogamer article I read said 4

But frankly, RRP means little in this country. The price has been jumping around for months now will all the different bundles you can get.

It has been cheaper than a PS4 for a little while now and this should ensure that it keeps going

It has had 4 prices, so 3 price cuts... IF you include removing kinect as a price cut.

It also gets more complicated if you include the inclusion of FIFA 15 for free as a price cut/value add...

But frankly, given how much the prices fluctuate on a week to week basis, the number of price cuts is meaningless.

I don't think the PS4 has had an official price cut, but it's selling for a lot cheaper than it was at launch

Yeah, retailers are quite aggressive in the UK... good for gamers.

Well, if you manage to find a good deal in all the confusion. Does make you paranoid there's going to be a better deal just round the corner though
