One reason I am so accepting of the three different consoles - other than being a level headed human being etc - is that their coexistence equates to competition and prevents a monopoly on the business. If you're referring to my comment, I didn't actually mean that seriously. I was just mirroring how ridiculous it was to ask for such a thing practically. It may look good on paper, but in practice it will not happen.

Xenoblade on Wii topled every FF released since FFVII, I personally prefer Xenoblade than FFVII, but I can see people going the other way around, so for FFXV to "easily" top Xeno Cross, it has to come from way behind, match it & then some. I would be happy if FFXV comes anywhere near Xeno, because that would mean that FF is back :)

Judging by the demo, it's not going to happen... Not even close.

XCX could launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U, and it still wouldn't come close to COD numbers.
JRPGs are simply not that popular any more.
Nintendo are aware that the game isn't going to set the charts on fire, its purpose is to diversify Wii U's exclusive lineup by offering something very different from EAD's output.
