It's possible that we're a smart enough group to avoid all the B.S. that's out there and instead try to escape. There's also a such thing as being so smart you're stupid but meh.

If you want to be in Mensa, you need to be in the top 2%.

They don't consider SAT and ACT scores from recent years to be acceptable, because scores are now weighted relative to other test takers in that year and are no longer measurements of IQ.

But from the year I took the ACT test, these test were actual IQ tests, and Mensa would take my score from 1987, and I could join.

Which I find interesting, but I hear mensa is full of weirdo's so I haven't joined of course.

And by the way, just in case there was any confusion, your IQ is not scored in inches, but if it was, my IQ would be 9.

considering that the "average" is considered 100 and even assuming that those who are smart enough to figure out how to post on a web forum are a little smarter than average doesn't mean that everyone here is a genius.

Yeah,

A) Internet tests are BS, you'll probably get over 140 if you're of decent intelligence...I bet they do that so you'll continue to go to the site for more info on your huge brain, paying to get specific stats and whatnot...then you're REALLY dumb.

B) We're on a forum, a sales number forum. Not all of us care too much about the numbers in great detail, probably just the general sales and direction of the industry. But that certainly means we're not retarded or probably below 100 even.

I would consider my IQ quite modest to be honest compared to other people who have posted. But the way I see it is that you wouldn't post your IQ if it was 82 or something.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure your IQ doesn't change from infancy through adolecence and into old age. So all of you that are dunces: Learn to live with it, we ain't gonna change anytime soon.

 Exactly, and if your IQ was 82, you'd probably bump it up to like 140 or something so that you would look smarter compared to your forum peers
