You don t see many companies selling to the consumer intentionallly use a similar strategy for a reason- It may yeild short term demand and profits but it hurts longer term organic demand and it is a poor way to treat your loyal customers and thierr children who actually want to buy certain amiibo s to use -
It s just not a very good look for Nintendo and contiues to erode its sqhrinking core fan base while putting off potential new customers at the same time
