oh, i see. yeah, ive known that nintendo is releasing a console after the wii u since before the wii u was even out. and im sure theyll release a console after that. i fail to see the point youre making here though. do you think sony and microsoft are going to release new consoles?

yeah, that was my point with the poll. i wondered how many people would honestly click that one is garbage and the other is awesome. that is the whole thing im trying to understand here. why people would feel that way and they come in here defending it and at the same time not offering any examples of whats different. if you read through all the responses, they all say the same thing, "its different" its amazing.

Because gamer want to know what the best place to play is.

They aren't the same thing. Symmetrical thumb sticks > asymmetrical (i'll quit console gaming if Sony ever switches). IMO the xb1 OS is horrible and the ps4 has remote play (which I use daily) and PS Now.

By your logic the WiiU is a clone of the ps3. It's got the same specs and copied the remote play.

Zombie U, Smash Bros, the newish super Mario bros, Mario Kart, Wind Waker remake and Bayonetta. Of those games I own and others I've played only Zombie U and mario 3d have any kind of real support for the touch pad, and no amiibos don't count in smash. Most of the time you are just looking at the second screen with no touch functionality.

im not trolling, i want to know why people would think one is great and the other is awful when the experience they provide is the same. and no, i would never argue that the wii u is a clone of the ps3, so my logic doesnt lead you there at all. my logic would lead you to think that the ps3 and the ps4 are more similar, i mean look at all the cross gen games there are. most games on both of those consoles are first person or third person story driven shooting games. content like that doesnt dominate the wii u's library, so i dont see how any argument could be made that the ps3 and the wii u are the same.

well that's about as ignorant as stating that the cameras for the xbox and ps4 are the same 

but anyway no the touch functionality is not the same and in my opinion the ps4's implementation makes far more sense since you are not required to look away from the television on which your game is being displayed to utilise it

"they arn't releasing a new console" . The point is they will be releasing a new console before the life of this one is done as was proven a long time ago. They will put support behind that console. They have stopped supporting the Wii U and have instead descided to support the 3Ds until the new console is released in the next few years.

Xbox One is a complete failure. Coming from a 360 and original xbox fan. Microsoft really screwed the console up. I'm glad my roommate had one because it saved me $400 350. I still game on 360 and ocassionally PC...my PC is stronger than both next gen consoles so there's really little incentive to upgrade. The fact I still game on 360 should explain my opinions on graphics. I really have no interest in PS4 due to xbox live being a stable service and sony having offline issues.
