Forums - Gaming - Do you think Sony is partnering with ACTIV on next cod (BO3)? *More Evidence*

Which manufacture will have the marketing rights to COD this holiday?

Sony 67 37.64%

Microsoft 93 52.25%

Nin-never mind 15 8.43%

Other(Steam?) 3 1.69%

Total:178

I just wonder if ACTIVISION will continue 'cuddling' with microsoft, considering microsoft have favoured EA more this new gen. Sony+Destiny was a good partnership (for both companies) so they may partner here.

Also, it appears PS4 has taken lead dev for the current gen versions. A section of COD AW was leaked at Destination Playstation (The golden gate bridge collapse)

It benefits Sony, they pretty much have EU and Jap in the bag, the real fight is in NA. A marketing deal, with a limited console bundle, would be good to combat the likely holiday domination halo will bring xbox otherwise.

In addition, Treyarch Studio director, David Vonderhaar, seems to have favoured PS4 this gen, opting to play Destiny and AW on the console.

So it's a possibility, low some may say, but possible nevertheless, whatcha think bwana?

More evidence: Sony have uploaded the cod teaser video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUjxgZRJKd0

Afai am aware, xbox youtube have not.

Also, it has the release date for the reveal.

In the past sony havent uploaded the teasers for the reveal, because the reveal videos are usually littered with xbox (360) advertising.

This may be true

EDIT: Ok xbox have uploaded it now, Could it be possible neither companies have it?

Update 2

Official promotion by COD for Gamestop marketing mentions beta. Notice how PS4 is listed first. Usually they've always listed 360/x1 first

I still think they'll be at Microsoft's conference.

In a perfect world, where Sony wasn't concerned about sales, I think it'd be great if Sony denied Activision any license to release BO3 on Playstation. Not only would it mean Microsoft wasted money buying timed exclusivity on DLC et al, but it kneecaps Activision's potential install base. Win+Win in my opinion.

Except for the Playstation fans that like Cod?

If will happen, XBOX doooooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!
But nah, Microsoft as the usual will have a amazing CoD market and will have a super bundle with BO III during holiday for XBO, and maybe even for XB360.

Doesn't really concern me.

I think MS already secured it or is as we speak.

I doubt it, as there's money to be made on both X1 and PS4, plus they want to keep the fanbase they have on X1

I'd rather Sony partner with EA on Battlefront. MS more than likely already has a deal in place for BO3.

Competitive COD is on xbox, so COD will continue to be advertised with xbox.
