They do need to offer a hard mode, i completely agree with that

I use HM slaves as well.  Useless moves.  Just being able to delete those moves without using a special method would be good enough




       

I only played the blue edition on the original Gameboy. The old, big grey one. I absolutely loved it! Then I tried Gold Edition some time later, but I dunno... It just wasn't as fun anymore. I thought something like "Yeah, been there, done that".

Never played any other Pokemon title after that. Maybe I should give it a try again. What's the newest title called?

I quit because it got too repetitive one game after another. Give me a home console version and Ill definitely get back into it.



I've always said my biggest gripe is the difficulty. Way too easy. It's sad because they constantly cater to kids but completely forget about the first kids who are now adults.

It had everything that a devout, hardcore gamer could possibly want: Limited cash supply (until you reach the elite four), a truly evil, antagonistic corporation (whose employees were equipped with whips, no less) dedicated to exploiting Pokémon, a dark/gloomy town with a massive graveyard building, an inventory with 20 slots - making item management a lot more challenging (and making you actually take advantage of the PC's item storage), legendary Pokémon capable of dodging your Pokéballs (as opposed to current versions where they practically let themselves be caught with no struggle), etc., etc.

Nintendo had their chance and they blew it. Their attempts to appeal to the casual market has only gotten more extreme as the series progresses, leaving no room for people who actually want to put their skills to the test. Simply put, Pokémon went from being one of the first true adventure games to becoming a full-blown vacation simulator.


I would literally pay $200 to play that ultimate pokemon hardcore experience.

whats wrong using a canoe, axe, a stair to climb a boulder, etc etc... not much creativity in it... just "real" life solution to those problems...



 

The easiest solution with the HM slaves. And it doesn't violate how the game/tv series works. Is have a HM menu in the item menu. It then temp transfers the Pokemon to your party, and activates the HM move. Behind the scenes, of course. The user just uses the menu, and cut is activated by the proper Pokemon. This would also show up every pokemon that has a HM.

If new capture Pokemon can be teleported from your hand. A temp Pokemon can come back and use a HM move. Win for not wasting a Pokemon Slot. This does disallow the HM's to be used in battle. But who really cares. They can use this item to also allow the PC interface be wireless. So you don't have to go to a Pokemon Center to access your boxes and items anymore. The PC has been doing this, since day 1. Bill's PC stored your Pokemon.

The PC's PC had a wireless link to Bill. So why can't the trainer have a wireless connection to the Regions storage system. This be a great way to also allow Pokemon Bank to run in the game too. They can make a fancy interface. So Pokemon that where transferred from say FireRed. Would have an animation of Bill's House and link up. A bonus feature could be skins. Choose if you want Gen 1 GB etc. graphics or modern.

It would require creativity by Pokemon standards.

Well said. You know for all the flack it got i actually like pokemon Collesseum and XD on gamecube, at least it offered a different spin on the game and was a little more challenging since you had these "dark" type attacks that were extra strong.
