No date has been announced yet, except that it is coming this year. An August release would make sense, as Mario Maker is coming in September, and October will likely be for Xenoblade Chronicles X or Starfox.

As to how they make money, they have no celebrity voice talent, no cutting edge proprietary game engine, no extensive licensed soundtrack, or any of the things that inflate the budgets of AAA titles.

Anyway, I also believe it's quite likely that it'll become the best selling entry in the franchise.

The Nintendo logo on the cover will definitely help. Hopefully Nintendo themselves will promote it, but seeing that they DID made efforts for Bayonetta, Hyrule Warriors, and now Splatoon and Xenoblade, I bet that they will give Fatal Frame a shot.

Given Nintendo is going to be responsible for the Advertising, I highly doubt it. A well timed release and a good commercial campaign COULD probably push it toward that but I have no faith in Nintendo of America being able to get that done and I have heard or seen anything that makes me think Nintendo of Europe is much better.

Well, Nintendo did a pretty good job with Bayonetta 2's marketing.  It was on appropriate channels, YouTube, the ads were pretty good imo.  I expect Fatal Frame will likely get the same kind of push.  A bigger question is the Fatal Frame movie, which could do a lot for the game.  We have no idea when it's coming out or anything about it.

All it has to do is sell 100k LIFETIME to match the best selling entry in the series.

i hope it sells okay in the west and makes nintendo so happy that they pay tecmo to make pokemon snap 2 on the Fatal Frame engine.(or atleast a hunter DLC for the game...)

Given the horrible numbers of the previous entries I'd say it's possible. I always thought the PS2 games had sold better.

it will easily. Even though it's not the Wii U's target audience in the west it really stands out in a small Wii U library and is exclusive to the system and uses the gamepad. Fatal Frame on PS2 was drowned out by so many other games.
