They're both cool characters, but I'd really rather they didn't appear in Smash. I think of Smash Bros. as a celebration of Nintendo, not necessarily gaming in general. I'd rather see some lesser known Nintendo characters than popular characters that have almost never appeared on Nintendo platforms. It's why I wasn't a fan of Snake being in Brawl.

Just my opinion, though.

I don't understand all of the hate on the idea of crash being in smash. I view the situation in a very similar light as Sonic The hedgehog. both are former Mario Rivals and are former hardware mascots, with sonic representing sega and crash representing sony. both eventually went multiplat, and both have struggled since going multiplat... Sonic is important in smash because he is an important part of nintendo's history (through being nintnedo's chief rival), even though his direct contributions on nintendo platforms are nothing compared to his non nintendo offerings. I think the same is with crash. his in influence and rivalry with nintendo and mario make him an important part of nintnedo's and video game's history.

Sorry, but I`ll just go with the `They are Sony character` reasons. Would any Ninten fans want Crash or Spyro in Smash? I have no history with them, I don`t care much for them.

If activision wanted to and Sakurai accepted it, it could happen. Your argument also has a small hole as you can say Snake (was in SSBB) is a ps character.

Also Crash isnt a Sony mascot, he's Sony's Icon. (at least PSX+PS2 era)

Wow jeez, they really jumped ship with Crash. Guess it`s not crazy to think Crash could be in Smash. I wouldn`t care much for him personally.
