You are talking of a 0.000001% minority

I  think that Nintendo policies are dumb and wrong. But I don´t think that they should be concerned because its fans cant see a Nintendo Pewdiepie video, and of course I dont think that we can call that a consumer problem because its not. You buy a console to play games. Not to see Pewdiepie videos.

I buy a nintendo console, therefore I am a consumer. I watch let's plays therefore nintendo's policy is causing me (who is a consumer) a problem. A consumer problem doesn't have to be something that's wrong with the actual product you are buying, though If I was a let's player myself it would be a problem with the product. You are severly underestimating the popularity of let's plays.

Answer me. Would you not buy a console that has tons of great games that you love because you can´t see let´s plays of your favourite youtuber about those games?

Like I said in the previous thread. Both sides (nintendo and angry joe) look petty, pathetic and greedy.

And to those saying this is anti-consumer, how the fuck is nintendo's youtube policy affecting the consumers? In what way does this affect those who purchase product.

How can you not understand that consumers watch let's plays?

Watching let's play is not part of the consumer to product relationship.

This policy would have no affect on whether I buy a nintendo console myself, I never said it would have an affect on console sales and if anyone did.... well. Does not mean that it isn't a problem for some nintendo consumers however.

A consumer problem does not have to be directly related to the product they are purchasing. If something has a negative affect on a consumer then it is a consumer problem.

Wonder how much money he has made on this "controversy".

Exactly this.

I'm pretty sure he is making a lot of money! And the funniest part is that people sympathize with him!!

He is probably making more money out of this than any money nintendo could take from his videos.

You are failing to distinguish between being a consumer and something you enjoy.

Yes, you buy a Nintendo product therefore you are a consumer.

but

Your enjoyment of let's play is your individual choice.

You need to realize that watching Let's play is your personal preference and not part of the consumer self

The reason this whole fiasco is even an issue is money plain and simple, some people can argue about free advertising and all that well we've yet to see the correlation between YT views and sales for larger developers. People aren't defending Nintendo as the policy is silly they just recognize it's all about money in the end and always has been since the whole partnership thing took off for YT, would these guys even be complaining if partnerships didn't exist and you couldn't make money on YT to begin with, the whole anti-whatever is just being used as ammo much like politicians using one issue as a stance while another is actually the main driving point.

The are many people who will upload videos just as a hobby and companies like SE, Sega, Atlus and so on also flag videos which is why it's not as black and white as some are claiming because a lot of the heat is being directed to one company.

The policy is silly and annoying but many are signing up and the's a smart element as I'm willing to bet that those signing up aren't the AJs and Boogies but everyone else, the people with the smaller channels who don't get as many views as a single channel but collectively will be comparable and are being given a partnership that they wouldn't normally get as a smaller channel.

If a company does something that has a negative affect on a consumer it's causing a consumer a problem. Simple as that in my mind.

another good video

You were right. This video is good, probably the best that I´ve seen from him.

Still don't know why this is getting so much attention. Is angry Joe that big? Is it a slow news week? I mean pewdiepie also ranted about it, as did many other youtubers but then it was over. And now it's suddenly news again?
