The reason this whole fiasco is even an issue is money plain and simple, some people can argue about free advertising and all that well we've yet to see the correlation between YT views and sales for larger developers. People aren't defending Nintendo as the policy is silly they just recognize it's all about money in the end and always has been since the whole partnership thing took off for YT, would these guys even be complaining if partnerships didn't exist and you couldn't make money on YT to begin with, the whole anti-whatever is just being used as ammo much like politicians using one issue as a stance while another is actually the main driving point.
The are many people who will upload videos just as a hobby and companies like SE, Sega, Atlus and so on also flag videos which is why it's not as black and white as some are claiming because a lot of the heat is being directed to one company.
The policy is silly and annoying but many are signing up and the's a smart element as I'm willing to bet that those signing up aren't the AJs and Boogies but everyone else, the people with the smaller channels who don't get as many views as a single channel but collectively will be comparable and are being given a partnership that they wouldn't normally get as a smaller channel.
