The game is now only $9 more than the other consoles at $29 on Wii U. That's close enough in price that I don't feel robbed. My question is, is the game itself actually good and worth my $30? Amazon reviews all seem to point to it being a decent game and runs well on Wii U with the exception of slow load times. I can live with that if the game itself is fun.

What say you VGC?

I'm playing through the game right now on PS4, the mechanics in the game are fun, but honestly I can't think of one character in the game I like.

I actually really liked Watch Dogs. Though the hacking mechanism could feel a little repetitive for some people, I found it to be creative and enjoyable, found the world to be engaging, and the story, while derivative, was still immersive, and fun.

I think there is a bit of a backlash against this game, which I don't really fully understand, but I really enjoyed it.

don't want to advertize, but it just so happens that I reviewed the WiiU version of the game for my website this week:

PS4/XOne is definitely better. Loading times can be long on WiiU, it sometimes blocked ip my console (twice), I had to restart the game twice to reset a glitched mission. Framerate is... Not so great all the time... But it's not a bad game. It's just not very well polished. Story is... Meh... But the hacking gameplay in an open world setting is pretty fun.

I have this on Wii U and to be fair i have found it very entertaining. Ok its not as polished as the other versions, but everything is present and correct within the game. The storyline is pretty decent, and there are tons of side missions and a bit of DLC to really bump up the hours of gameplay (its taken me 63 hours to do 80%). The game also has some of the best online elements ive seen on Wii U, having people hack/invade you mid game is a ton of fun and there's online racing etc. The downside is the poorly optimized driving, which can cause huge frame dips(devs could have done a lot better here), but if you are a super gamer like myself you can adapt and still become a pro at it. I would give it 7.5/10, which would have been an 8.5 if the driving was implemented better.
