I don't see how that changes anything whatsoever. He had videos on Youtube that violated Nintendo's policies so they got removed. Simple as that. It doesn't matter what his intention was.

It shows how Nintendo's policies sucks. He is willing to review and upload letsplays of Nintendo games but nnnooooppeee says Nintendo.

Hes free to upload review content which is protected by fair use, and if he wants to upload lets plays, he need to follow their policies. I don't see how his intention to edit the videos changes anything. No company has a way to monitor intentions...

I agree that the policies need to be changed in a boatload of areas, but the evidence you are presenting for it is far from compelling

I don't know what the heck you're talking about, but the video I presented shows that he had all the interest and intentions to play Nintendo games for his fans. I'm not sure if you've been seeing some of the comments in this thread, or the one I've quoted and replied to, but they were saying that he doesn't do Nintendo stuff. Well that video shows that he was, and why he is not going to anymore.

I don't mean to sound mean and all, I just haven't had my cup of tea yet.

Because he isn't stupid. Everyone knows about the Nintendo defense force. They will defend Nintendo against anything. They even tried to rationalize Nintendo's lack of third party during the GC era.

Actually it is stupid if he's trying to make a legitimate case because a lot of the fans agree the policy is silly, it only undermines his own point and makes it look like a troll rant, if he had left all of the uncalled for bashing out he wouldn't be dismissed by as many people here but as it stands it only serves to prove his critics here right that it's click bait.

It's equivalent to people you see on forums who start calling people fanboys when in an argument for no reason.

If he is not going to use his WiiU for reviews, lets plays or any kind of content, shouldn't he give it back? His fans bought the thing for him so he could create Nintendo content. If he isn't going to do that, there's no point in giving him the console.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

If his fans had to crowd fund a Wii U for him that pretty much says it all :p

Have you seen his room in his house? Its all green screen and camera equipment? He obviously spends his money on his entertainment livelyhood. You're grasping at straws. Also, just because you're big on Youtube, doesn't make you rich. The man has bills to pay. Sure, he might not have been a primary Nintendo gamer, but he wasn't last gen when he only owned a PC and an Xbox 360. Sony and Nintendo fans were frothing at the mouth for a review from hi for their consoles. So far he's so glad his fans helped him get the Wii U, but Nintendo stood in the way twice now. NIntendo is still the only company to stand in the way when its free advertising.

Oh don't get me the wrong way here. I never said he didn't put his money towards equipment and whatnot. Nor did I say that becoming a youtuber will make you rich. But as a youtuber with 2mil subscribers he should have been able to afford the console. He just wasn't interested in it or something, I guess.
I wouldn't say I'm grasping at straws.

In all honesty I don't care if he has a Wii U, Ps4 or Xbox one. What console he wants is up to him. I just debated the part where his fans had to fund one for him.
Also if you read a previous point of mine I don't think what Nintendo is doing here is the right thing, it's kind of stupid to be honest. So I'm not on either of the two sides really

Perhaps he wasn't interested then, but thats the point of having fans. They can open your mind to things and they bought him the console to do it and guess what? He had more fun with it than any other console. Imagine that? He had a paradigm shift until Nintendo screwed it up for him. He will continue to love his Wii U in private now.

It does not undermine his point. He was just getting it out of the way because he knows how defensive Nintendo fans are. They'll defend Nintendo for a hell of a lot that Most gamers wouldnt even defend their favorite brands for. Nintendo probably has the most loyal fans, period of any brand based on what they internally offer. Sure, a lot of Nintendo fans are speaking up and being vocal against Nintendo's greedy policy against Youtube users but he was actually smart to nip the argument in the bud with Nintendo sympathizers.

He wasn't trolling, either. He was frustrated....and as you can see his eyes were watery in the video because it was emotional for him.

Agreed. He should refund the crowd funding.

Now that I can agree with. You just made it sound different in the first post that I quoted you in ^^
And yeah that's one reason why fans can be pretty awesome sometimes. Nevertheless it is sad to see the direction Nintendo is heading with this

He will continue to use it until Nintendo drops their archaic policies. As he said, he will be happy when Nintendo stops being so overbearing and there is a reason why the rest of the major corporations arent attacking this situation like Nintendo. He wants to review games for it because his fans have opened him up to the joy of owning a Nintendo console. Its just that Nintendo took that joy away of him showing how much fun he was having as free publicity.
