Nintendo is out of touch with today's generation. It is run by a bunch of greedy, overbearing old men who are not only controlling  over their product but also over the people they work with. This is historically true about Nintendo which is why third parties have bad relationships  with them since the 80s and 90s.

 

It's obvious that you never  heard him out that he likes he wii u. In fact he had more fun with it thanight he ps4 and Xbox one combined. Nintendo just always gets in the way.


If his fans had to crowd fund a Wii U for him that pretty much says it all :p

And yet he literally says:

" I HAD MORE FUN WITH MY WIIU THAN WITH MY PS4 AND XBOX ONE... COMBINED"

That pretty much says it all :p

I don't see how that changes anything whatsoever. He had videos on Youtube that violated Nintendo's policies so they got removed. Simple as that. It doesn't matter what his intention was.


It shows how Nintendo's policies sucks. He is willing to review and upload letsplays of Nintendo games but nnnooooppeee says Nintendo.

Have you seen his room in his house? Isn't all green screen and camera equipment? He obviously spends his money on his entertainment livelyhood. You're grasping at straws. Also, just because you're big on Youtube, doesn't make you rich. The man has bills to pay. Sure, he might not have been a primary Nintendo gamer, but he wasn't last gen when he only owned a PC and an Xbox 360. Sony and Nintendo fans were frothing at the mouth for a review from hi for their consoles. So far he's so glad his fans helped him get the Wii U, but Nintendo stood in the way twice now. NIntendo is still the only company to stand in the way when its free advertising.

I wasn't arguing about that. That may be true or not but that was not the topic at hand. If he does like it then that's fine, if he doesn't well that's fine too. I'm not a fan boy so I'm pretty neutral here.

What got me with that particular comment was only that "in order for him to buy a Wii U his fans had to crowd fund one for him".
He's a youtuber with approx 2 million subscribers so abviously he didn't care for the console too much (at first at least), but it also kind points him towards the "just in it for the money direction".

IMO all consoles are pretty good and I wish the best for all three

If this guy is angry at Nintendo why is he bashing the fanbase and going off at the console's library? Doesn't seem like a good way to complain about the policy because it comes across as trollish.

Hes free to upload review content which is protected by fair use, and if he wants to upload lets plays, he need to follow their policies. I don't see how his intention to edit the videos changes anything. No company has a way to monitor intentions...

I agree that the policies need to be changed in a boatload of areas, but the evidence you are presenting for it is far from compelling

Because he isn't stupid. Everyone knows about the Nintendo defense force. They will defend Nintendo against anything. They even tried to rationalize Nintendo's lack of third party during the GC era.

Oh don't get me the wrong way here. I never said he didn't put his money towards equipment and whatnot. Nor did I say that becoming a youtuber will make you rich. But as a youtuber with 2mil subscribers he should have been able to afford the console. He just wasn't interested in it or something, I guess.
I wouldn't say I'm grasping at straws.

In all honesty I don't care if he has a Wii U, Ps4 or Xbox one. What console he wants is up to him. I just debated the part where his fans had to fund one for him.
Also if you read a previous point of mine I don't think what Nintendo is doing here is the right thing, it's kind of stupid to be honest. So I'm not on either of the two sides really
