Forums - Nintendo - Affordable Space Adventures for Wii U (Reviews thread, Meta: 83)

It looks cool, maybe I´ll get it 45 60.00%

Meh 10 13.33%

I don´t have a WiiU 3 4.00%

Total:75

So a lot of people don´t know about this game. In my opinion looks like one of the most interesting titles coming this year to the Eshop.

It´s a 100% exclusive game for WiiU that makes heavy use of the gamepad in a genuine way. Nintendo is being confident about it, and the last time they did that the result was Shovel Knight.

Is out now :)

Metacritic: 83

- Destructoid: 9/10  "Affordable Space Adventures is a game that can only work on the Wii U. Its two-screen experience is exactly what the system was designed for and the result is a unique breath of fresh air that might actually force player to hold that breath in certain situations."

 - Hobby consolas:  90/100 "Afordable Space Adventures is one of the best Wii U showcases. It uses the Wii U Gamepad as no other game has done before and it offers a bunch of intelligent puzzles and situations that will force you to think (and use all the spacecraft abilities) before act. It also offers a great atmosphere, light effects and a very, very enjoyable local multiplayer."

- Nintendo Enthusiast: 90/100 "Affordable Space Adventures is an indie title with a $20 price tag, and that may make some would-be purchasers leery of the investment. I can say with full confidence that the price tag is not only justified, but might even be too low."

- Nintendo Life: 8/10 " It not only utilises the GamePad, but makes it integral to the experience, while tackling it solo or with others is equally rewarding. There's evident devotion to small details and quality from the developers. There's nothing else quite like this out there, and it's certainly a trip worth taking."

- Nintendo World Report: 8/10 " The game is long enough without overstaying its welcome and there are plenty of interesting environments and obstacles to check out (and avoid, as the situation dictates). There are a few puzzles that I could live without, but most of them are solid in this linear but imaginative space trek. I can't ask really for more!"

- Vandal Online: 92/100 "It's expensive for a downloadable game, but the experience is definitely worth it, thanks to a great visual work, better audio and many gameplay innovations."

- Metro Game Central: 7/10 "One of the best uses of the Wii U GamePad so far and one of the most atmospheric games of the year, even if it does run out of new tricks before the end."

- Digital Chumps: 82/100 "One part hysterical, one part horrifying, all parts engrossing: "Affordable Space Adventures" is every bit worthy of consideration as the next addition to your Wii U digital library."

- Game Informer: 8/10 "Affordable Space Adventures is a great puzzle game, and it uses the GamePad in interesting ways that don’t feel like gimmicks. It’s nice to see the Wii U become home to a truly exclusive title trying to do something different."

- God Is a Geek: 90/100 "Finally a game designed to truly showcase what the Wii U's unique feature set can do."

- Attack on the fanboy: 90/100

- Meristation: 86/100

- Slant Magazines: 90/ 100

This caught my eye in the direct. As long as the reviews aren't crap i'm going to check it out.

I think the game can be above 80 on meta. That´s cool imo.

At least the first one is very good :)

I'm very interested in this title, it looks like it has some much needed asymmetric gameplay. The concept is great, it all depends on the execution for me.

been looking foreword to this game since last year so I will get it if the meta score is 70+

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

They say that the game is 8-10 hours long. Not bad at all, is even longer than most 2D Metroids.

And seems to have a very good replay value thanks to the 3 co-op local multiplayer.

I was bored by this game when it was shown in the Direct, but now with this score...

...nothing has changed.

Then any score or review will change that (maybe trying the game). Probably not your kind of game, that´s all.

I'm interested, I'm just worried it'll become one of those tedious puzzle games the indie scene is infested with...

I though you loved the Swapper.

This game may be as good as that.

I like the look of it, looks fun playing by yourself and with other people, makes for communication and laughs and ripping the player who messed up and got you killed lol
