I see. Yeah, that's one thing I would guess as well. But it could be something specific like playing as the badguys, if there are any. Or that it takes place after the first two games have ended. Or a prequel. Who knows. |
But if the games (each version) was totally worth buying separate (like full fledge games) then $50 is damn well worth the price, as for the DLC, it could be a 10-15 chapter story, all i know is Prequel doesn't make sense based on the title "Third Path". It only makes sense with Ch 6, taking not path 1 or 2, but 3 which would be either Both or none. Basically none as Choosing both makes no sense.
Edit: Actually it be funny if Third Path was both and you take everybody at that point of time with you and go missing, then make your own kingdom.... yeah im going tooooooo far :p

$50 is the max I want to see for both (special edition) version. Any more than that, and I probably will not be getting this game day 1.
The third arc will probably still be DLC so hopefully the original won't be too much

I dont think a special edition FE for $50 would happen, im talking about $50 for the game MSRP. With both versions included (if i misunderstood your post, my bad)

If they are both full fledged titles and not simply 2 half games that create 1 connected game then I would happily pay full price for each. Hell idiots do it for Pokémon and they are literally the same game twice.

very good post, i do the exact same. Pokemon is understandable as its meant purposely for trading from back in gen 1.
TBH if they are full fledge games i love to buy them separate just for the boxarts, but many unfortunately would be mad. I think $50 for 2 entire games is awesome, especially a 90+ Meta game?
It has to be a full fledge game (each) because this would be a big F*** U to the japanese gamers, still good if they buy 1get the other version DLC for equivalent to i think $16?
Just notice, how the hell are we suppose to know sales of this game? I mean West will have 1 but japanese? Will it be counted as 2 sold if one buys the other as DLC?
Edit: Yeah probably because NSLU was the same thing (sort of)

Yeah, I, personally, don't think that a Western release of FE14 will come with two versions so the 'special edition' is just the standard
(The 'special edition' is referring to the JP special edition version where you get both routes for double the price.)

If it includes both thats a great deal! Because they would both be 40 right? so that'd only be 10 dollars more for 2 different storylines

Wait, so are you saying they could pull a Pokemon and release two games instead of one big one?

So $49.99 for Dark/Light Kingdom double back and $19.99 for 3rd scenario DLC? That honestly wouldn't be too bad.
