Yeah, but with DLC Fire Emblem Awakening was like $90 (at the cheapest.) So I don't think people will have an issue with the $65-77 this would probably cost with the DLC.

No, I specifically mean the alternate path DLC. The west is only one game, and you can buy the opposite path from the one you chose as DLC. I'm not saying people won't want it; just that expecting to pay only $10 more for what is essentially a whole game probably isn't realistic.

Yeah, that should be a given. If the DLC is close to a full game by itself, $65 estimate is pretty good. Practically 3 games in one!

Good post i feel the same, but i think if they play their cards right, a $65-$70 experience for this FE would be on point. I included the DLC which is by itself supposedly its own unique story/game. Its where the protagonist goes without choosing a side!

Compared to the DLC in Awakening, though it wasnt exactly needed, i think this is good in itself. This game will indeed determine once again if FE will continue or change its mechanics!


I believe we'll have the game containing both paths with the ordinary price, $40. Only Atlus releases $50 games and that's just upon release. Shin Megami Tensei, for example, costs just $20 now, whereas it was $50 right after release. Maybe a special version containing the DLC and some other stuff (cards, blah blah) for $50. Maybe.

Depending on how they make DLC work, we could have something like Awakening. $15-$20 max in DLC's.

Oh i misinterpreted your previous post, yes if that dlc is pratically an entire game than i think $15 is a realistic price, $20 max.

Going by japan price it seems the absolutely most to expect is $75-$80 all together, and thats if its 2 separate versions with one being DLC for $15.

But i think we'll get both versions into one for $50 and FE DLC for $15. We'll see later.

Its true that Atlus is the only one, but its different this time since essentially the FE game is actually 2 games. If pokemon had 2 games in one i would think they charge $50 too :)

Not that $50 is bad for this game if it ends up being that price!

$20 is possible but $25 is imo too much. Going by this...

Fire Emblem If (2 versions: ¥4700 game, ¥1852 other ver content DLC, ¥1852 3rd DLC)

So even if we adjusted up... We get this, i'll post scenarios!

 

*If There 2 versions and DLC is expensive... (also closes to Japanese price)

Version 1= $50

Version 2 as DLC= $20

Third Path DLC= $20 

Total= $90 

 

*What I think we'll get, even if DLC is more

Version 1+2= $50

Third Path DLC= $15/$20

Total $65-$70

 

*Unrealistic best case Scenario...

Version 1+2= $40

Third Path DLC= $10/$15

Total $50-$55

 

Yeah Scenario #2 seems most likely imo!

Not everyone wants to fill there SD card up with DLC, especially a full sized game like Fire Emblem. I would pay $60 for the bundled game on a cartridge, without all the special edition stuff. Japan does not seem to be giving that option, making you pay full price for both games unless you download, or buy the special edition.

We need to make some noise.
