Forums - Nintendo - Certain Fire Emblem characters are SMT-like "demons" in SMTxFE!?

So I just watched a video about it. Fire Emblem and SMT fans have serious reason to be excited about this.

All those "demons" are SMT adaptations of typical Fire Emblem enemies. Like, that purple centaur lady is something/someone called a "Aversa" in the trailer, which apparently is a Fire Emblem enemy/character. The giant floating head enemy was an enemy/character called "Gangrel." Again, a demonic/SMT reinterpretation.

I think it's clear what this implies. Fire Emblem characters are being reinterpreted as "demons" in this game. That might mean that the MC's will use famous FE characters as Personas/Special "demons!"

Also, according to the trailer, apparently the ESRB expects this game to be rated Mature. This ain't yo daddy's Fire Emblem!

Aversa:

Gangrel:

So what does that mean for these guys?

Are these demons/persona's based off Fire Emblem characters!? Discuss!

The first one looks like Marth.

I hate Gangrel.

The second one is a standad paladin, and Lucina must be the third one, or Erika, perhaps.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Honestly I don't know shit about FE so i'll probably miss a few things playing this game.

Looks a lot like Eirika's horse as well.

Oh wow.

The resemblance with Gangrel is pretty spot on.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Me too, but just the idea that these are SMT demon versions of Fire Emblem characters who were once human is pretty bad ass, and exactly the type of think I wanted from this cross over. Learning this has seriously helped ammend some of my negative first impressions of this game.
