No, there were some (or many) that thought this holiday or even an early 2016 release (5 years after 3ds so feb/mar) the next HH will release.

Im not arguing its gonna last to 2017 holiday, im arguing we are still getting support intill at least Summer of 2016 for 3ds. Many claimed we wouldn't get anything this year.

DS got Pokemon Black & White 2, 3 weeks before the 3DS game out. Doesn't mean a thing. Did anyone expect no 3ds games to launch within 6 months of the NX launch?

Pokemon is one of the only ones shouldnt be counted from 1st party. Why? Because Gamefreak does whatever they want.

BW came out in japan Sept 2010, 3DS released Feb in japan the following year (5 months later).

BW2 came out in japan July 2012, a full year and a half after 3ds release, hence why i said shouldnt count, because GF

Actually it kinda does... The only note worthy release the 3ds is getting from now till 2016 is FE that we know of where as the wiiu is getting a shit ton more games... So yea, the 3ds is certainly reaching the end of its life and it goes to show more and more that the NX will be a handheld

I'm expecting NX will release in 2017 to be honest. When has Nintendo ever announced new Gen hardware and released it in the same year?

Most people on this site predicted holiday 2016 from what I read.

Oh. Yeah I don't know who in their right mind would think that they'd release a new system this year. I can see maybe a summer release next year at the earliest. This is its decline year, yes, but not its ultimate one.
