Well to be fair Wii U has Kirby, Mario Party, Splatoon, Yoshi (Europe), Xenoblade (Japan) in the first half of the year.

Didn't Nintendo release DKC:TP early last year?

And mario kart 8, and they got bayonetta 2 in october, xenoblade x in april (japan)...

Silly thread.

I already mentioned Mario Kart and said they were on the right way, adding DKC only reinforces what I said. Bayo 2 released in the last quarter of the year.  You should give reading a try. Xenoblade X will most likely also be released at the end of the year when you can play it.

Any release post august/september is holidays, thats when releases start ramping up, it's not just a 4 week window.

We shall see about Xenoblade but I'm expecting a release not sooner than october.

I see what you mean, since Nintendo really relies on holiday sales for boosts but Nintendo usually has two big games per year, one in May and the other the holiday

Nintendo no

MS most definitely yes. The worst part is this little trick works on so many who go "look at what's coming out Xbox clearly has the best lineup" during November and forget all the stuff that releases the rest of the year. Then the argument turns into "which console will you buy during the holidays? The one with the best holiday lineup!" Which is proven wrong because games that released throughout the year are just as tempting during the holidays and they're cheaper by then.
