Many Japanese people know about April fools, but it is not nearly as recognized and practised as in the US and Europe.

Here in Japan the fiscal year and the school year starts in April, so alone because of that it's not really a joking matter.

Hopefully they announce some cool stuff and don't just detail their mobile news for most of the direct.

That´s interesting, and strange from a western perspective. I think it makes 100% sense have a Direct at the begining of the fiscal year then.
