Forums - Nintendo - BBC Gaming Expert: "Nintendo will abandon Wii U soon"

Guy Cocker pls. 84 100.00%

Total:84

The guy is truly an expert, he ignores all things Iwata/Nintendo has said. Then, says some speculative things that people are talking and thinking about, bringing no new insight to the table. This commentator is indeed a professional at acting like a videogame expert.

Surprise? I'm sorry but why wouldn't they? This thing will be lucky to crawl past 16m!

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

Honestly, the Wii U is at the end of its life, and with the next step already announced...

It should be clear that the Wii U is on its way out.

except not.

Laugh at the BBC games expert when he says something you don't want to hear, real mature. Before the launch of the original Wii a BBC gaming expert on the program Click said Nintendo's strategy of differentiating itself and selling the unit at a cheap price would mean than everybody who got or PS3 or 360 would get a Wii on the side and that the gamble would pay off. Were you making fun of the expert then? Of course not *rollseyes*

people are laughing because he said something stupid, regardless of what people want to hear.

He is what he does.

How many big budget games do you expect from Nintendo after Zelda? Take a wild guess.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

What contradicts me? It's in a similar place as the Vita, just with not as much software announced.

Nintendo is going to announce a new game in place of Zelda for winter (which means Star Fox is not getting delayed) and according to the leak, it would be Paper Mario U. Plus we have Splatoon, Xenoblade X, Devil's Third, Fatal Frame V (according to the leak) Rodea The Sky Soldier, Mario Maker, Legend of Kay, Project CARS, Yoshi's Woolly World, LEGO Jurassic World. Plus, they have a ton unannounced for us I'm sure of it. The Wii U is not dead in 2015, and 2016 already has Zelda and SMT x FE. So I wouldn't bet against Nintendo just yet. They also still have the inevitable Metroid U and Animal Crossing U. Which will both move consoles.

Silly analyst. He conveniently glosses over XCX and Star Fox.

Eh. I can see those titles selling less than 3 million worldwide. Combined.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it still unknown whether the NX is a handheld or home console? I'm expecting the former.

Nintendo isn't Sega. They are aware of the consequences of cutting a console's life short. The last games will come out in 2017/2018 with a new console reveal in 2017 most likely.
