just a random post

I want to play something new on my wii u, I love action adventure games but I'm not familiar with this franchise.
I don't care if the game has wii graphics and I'm not going to buy MH4 because I use my 3ds for other type of games (shorter games). what do you think? btw the game costs $20 so it's cheap.

All the yay in the world...I love Monster Hunter ^.^

Yes

Monster Hunter is awesome, especially with friends. It is a very challenging game though.

I'm surprised you didn't buy this before! Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is DEFINITELY worth it. :D

No, don't do it! Monster Hunter is probably the worst Capcom franchise and a very boring grinding exercise overall. Unless you want to do the same things over and over and over with some very clunky controls, I strongly advise against it.

(Disclaimer: Haven't try the online component, so there's that).

It's an acquired taste, but if you're prepared for a slow beginning and brutal difficulty, it's one of the most lasting and rewarding gaming experiences out there.

thank you guys!

I didn't like Monster Hunter Tri, but I could see how other people might. The combat system is fairly deep, if a bit clunky. It's repetitive, but some people like grinding for ever better weapons and armor. I'd say 20 bucks is probably worth it to give the franchise a try, but don't be shocked if you don't enjoy it.

I've been wondering this myself. Part of me wants to wait for a 4U port to the Wii U, but I don't know if that will ever happen.

So one day I will have to decide between 3U for the Wii U or 4U for the 3DS and decide if I like the series from that experience.
