Oh wow just tested the Sinister Resonent Bell and invaded someone.... Did NOT EXPECT there to be two players :p. Pretty much just panicated and tried to just run away from them and probably ran around all of Yharnam until they got me and ofcourse celebrated in the death backgrounds.
I did however like that all of the enemies where on my side. :D

I hadn't given much thought to the pvp for bloodborne as I've been playing offline as I usually do for my first (second and third) playthrough, but I imagine the approach would have to be significantly different than in past souls games since there is no Havel turtle defense analogue that was so popular in this game.  While pve rewards aggressive play I imagine pvp would be a slightly slower pace (one on one at least) given how easy it is to stun&gun, as even pc controlled hunters can be a pain in the ass to fight given how trigger happy some are.

I don't see the pvp in this game lasting too long. Armor sets basically mean nothing in this game, and I just feel like there would be far less builds to work with.

At the forbidden forest att, that witch was pretty easy compare to the other bosses. Amazing game so far, probably my favorite game in a while. At level 60 att.

I find this much harder than Dark Souls, took a break for a few days otherwise I know anger would get the best of me and would end up breaking something.

I'm finding this much easier than Dark Souls 1 tbh, as well as Demon's Souls and even Dark Souls 2. The higher speed lends more to my playstyle, and the dodge is more lenient than ever (both in terms of distance covered as well as invincibility frames). Healing is also faster than ever (this is a biggie since in Dark Souls 1, you wouldn't be running out of flasks, you'd often get killed while trying to pop one), and thus far I haven't needed to grind Blood Vials.

I started with the Axe and found it rather powerful, now I'm using Ludwig and I like how I can attack quickly with the regular sword form, or slow but powerful with the greatsword form (the R2 charge is great for enemies with a lot of HP, especially if you can get another hit with the greatsword in immediately after). I'm able to handle pretty much every enemy. Also if you just don't rush into a mob, and try to lure them 1-2 at a time, it's rather easy to progress. Also my experience from the other games definitely helps, as it's easier to identify surprises. That and I've learned to go back and level up really often.

One other note is that many enemies aren't that smart tbh. Often they'll just stay still, or not be too aggressive, which lets me handle them with some quick strikes or an R2.

Anyway...

I beat Witch of Hemwick, which was a good boss if not too difficult. Running around and try to get some hits in on her while dispatching the other enemies was fun to me.

I then moved on to Forbidden Woods, and woah this place has a lot of paths you can take. I had to do a lot of scouring and backtracking to make sure I'd picked up every item. Way towards the end, past the cannon guy and the big building seemed to be another area or two still part of the Woods, so I wonder how long to go before the boss.

One cool part of this place is that the random poison area past a cave (those snakes are really annoying :x Managed to pick up the items here too though.) has a huge ladder. I figured it was a shortcut, but didn't know where it would take me. Turns out it takes you right near the beginning of Central Yharnam where you began the game, and outside of Iosefka's Clinic! Then there's also another gate you can open that takes you on the rooftops and to the back entrance of the clinic, which then you open the previously closed door directly behind the starting lamp. Awesome.

Ya the witch was the 1st boss that I beat and thought oh, that it, its dead... okay. I was especting some further transformation or something.  I felt bosses 5-12 were easier than 2-4 (1 is only hard because you are still learning the timing of stuff, its cake once you get it). That said the mobs get much much harder after the Witch. I actually enjoyed that more, having to work my way to the boss, but the bosses while still presenting a challenge were not frusterating.

2 of the late game optional bosses are a pain in the arse, and I felt that the last boss(before final) was pretty tough. I was very overleveled (spent a few days in Chalice dungeons) at that point and it killed me once. Got it the 2nd time.

New game + is not hard at all if you are lvl 100+ (not hard to do really). I used the Scythe (made sure I farmed enough materials to upgrade it as soon as I started NG+ you only option if you dont have enough is to try and find them in d5 chalices...) and cleared the central yarnem with only going to Hunter's dream once (to grab my Schythe and upgrade it) Cleric beast took a little bit because his HP is pretty high but I only needed to heal 2 or 3 times. FG gets owned by the Schythe (the range on its charged R2 is insane and it not only stuns people but it tossess them away so they have no chance to counter) and beast phase was cake because I actually knew how to parry this time and I had not used the music box at all.

All said and done I had 500k echos from this run so I added a few more levels (put them all into skill because HP increase for enemies seems to be the biggest advancement they got). Also the enemies in NG+ dont progress as fast zone by zone as they do in NG. For instance it took 3 R1 attacks to kill the ax draggers (1st enemy you meet before the ladder) and it took 3 R1 + L2 to kill the lantern guys in the cathedral ward. In NG they had 3-4 times more HP than the early enemies and it seems like 10-15% at most in NG+).

question: what happens if you kill the first werewolf without dying first? i mean,on demon's souls,if killed the vanguard in the tutorial, you would be teleported to the dragon god and killed.

is there something similar in bloodborne or you can play with no weapon?

I NG+ I killed him. If you use the lamp at the top of the ladder you will get the same cutscene as you did when you died to the wolf.

Don't really enjoy that it is hard to join random people...30 minutes trying and still not found someone...And NG+ is hard X_X.

what level are you I am like 115 now and I feel its pretty easy. I know it will suck once I start seeing some of the endgame mobs but early to mid is easy IMO. Then again I was playing D4 chalices before I went to NG so that might be scewing my perspective.

I hate they throw random people in there to kill you. I don't want to fight other people. I fucking HATE that. That should be optional not forced.

-1 point in my book.

Edit: I was on a phone call and had the controller down on the coffee table. While on the phone I didn't notice someone was kicking my ass 'til it was too late. I almost don't want to play this game anymore at all.

if you are that worried about it play it in offline mode.  Go online if you want to co-op then go back offline when you are done with that.

For anyone that needs it... I found a map of all the locations and how to unlock them. It's a barebones map so it just shows the locations and where you can go from them.

It's pretty useful so here it goes: http://i.imgur.com/3gOn1HY.png

How do you get into the Yahar'Gul chapel? It just tells me the big doors are locked.

I didn't get there yet (I decided to leave that place as the last one to visit). But maybe you are lacking a key! Or maybe you forgot to activate a switch.

I'll post this for anyone who wants to know.

SPOILERS AHEAD

There is a true ending in this game. You have to get the items "A third of umbilical cord" to activate it. These items can be found in these places:

1-The abandoned old workshop

2-Arianna's son (You need to tell her about Oedon Chapel for this to happen).

3-Killing Iosefka (after beating Rom the Vacuous Spider)

4- Beating Wet Nurse Margo.

You only need 3 of these 4 items and you have to consume them before the final boss battle (make sure you reject whatever he offers you). Be prepared though, there is an extra final boss for doing that!

And yeah I didn't figure this out by myself I checked the wiki
