Forums - Sales - Do you think the Wii U will get a price cut this year?

I'll be genuinely surprised if there isn't a price cut by then.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I have my doubts. Nintendo has been saying fairly recently that price cuts only bring momentary increases in sales and that meaningful software will do far more for sales than a price cut.

Well, in the case of the 3DS it was a bit of both.

but serious Q1 2015 (or Jun for Nintendo)

It has to. It must. It is the smart thing to do.

50$/€ ismy expectation too, but when exactly is another question. After E3, for black friday and the holiday season, or somewhere in between is pretty much anybody's guess.

I'd expect a price cut leading into Christmas, not before then though. September at the earliest.

They better because you could get an X1 for only $50 more

I'd say there is a fifty/fifty chance it will get one in the lead up to the holidays, alongside one of the major releases.
