It's been a long time coming, so some backlash was expected as many didn't want to think Nintendo would do work for mobile platforms.

Went back to 28% which means it should start becoming stable. I am thinking 20-25% range for the day.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"
People are mad because they think A) Nintendo is going to go basically mobile and B) Nintendo is going 3rd party which i have seen many posts about... which is odd because licensing out does not mean going 3rd party... Going 3rd party would be if you are developing for other first party companies. As for going only mobile, I doubt it. They have two much in the handhelds and the home consoles.

I edited the title after discussing it with the other mods, as I outlined here in this post earlier in the thread. But there's no need to say in the thread title about Nintendo stock that "fans aren't happy", it just aggrevates people, and it's clickbait, and that's why it was changed. Have it in the OP, fine, but not in the thread title.
In future, when a thread title is changed it's not just done on some whim. It is a mod edit, and as all mod edits it should not be removed or altered. Please don't do it again.
People are upset because at the end of the day only execustives and people that heavily invested in nintendo will ever profit from this.
From the side of the consumer you now have all the games and effort split between 3 platforms, bear in mind that nintendo is barely able to support 2 platforms. This will lead in a decreased amount of games for consoles, especially since mobile games are cheaper to make and will make more money.
So for example instead of making console pokemon games genius sonority will instead make pokemon shuffle 2.
If you like high quality games this isnt good new at all and unless they announce soon that they massively upsized their studios(and i am talking about a real huge number) or bought a big video game company like Capcom or Square Enix i dont see a good future for their upcomming console effort and expect their next console to have worse droughts than the wii u.
In short if you are a investor its time to pop up the champagne bottle, if you like games there is reason to be pessimistic.
This is how I imagine the Nintendo fans that aren't too pleased with this.

OT: Great news for Nintendo stocks to shoot up that much on news such as this. I wish I had some stocks invested in Nintendo.

If you have more money, you buy more studios, and you make more games for all the systems you have. And the mobile thing is a colaboration with another company, I don´t think all the work is on Nintendo.
And things like Pokemon Shuffle don´t seem very hard and expensive to do.
