Is it really going to keep the company alive? A bit premature to be saying that Nintendo is being saved (saved from what?).
But I can see this move is positive. Or is it? I don't know, time will tell.
For now I'll change my statement: If I had to express my feelings for this news it would be something like: "Interesting news, my body is ready"
"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Take away their biggest strength when they lack in many other area (hardware and third party support) and you can see why fans are worried about Nintendo's future in the dedicated gaming business. |
How does this take away that? Nintendo wouldn't be spending that much resources due to this being a partnership. Also Nintendo wouldn't survive very long just on home consoles and handhelds. Also Nintendo is still in the dedicated gaming business.....
The only people who are upset about this are uppity ninnies so trapped in the past that they can't appreciate that this could be a good move overall for nintendo so long as they don't dump too much money into the venture and treat mobile gaming as a supplemental revenue stream. So long as nintendo doesn't come to rely on the mobile market it shouldn't become too much of a problem for them.
Pokemon Shuffle on mobile = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Do it ,Ninty.

Well the saying goes, don't have all your eggs in one basket, I think Nintendo has learned that lesson, and hopefully won't repeat the same mistake.
If Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow were available on iOS for 3.99 since the beginning it'd probably had sold as much as the Gameboy versions.

Hmm, if the handheld part of it is like a smartphone, I wouldn't be very keep on that... I need buttons on my console. I don't want the handheld part becoming a mobile station...
Dance my pretties!
