I Love Bacon & Nintendo Fan Girl (and anyone else) you have my sympathies. I know who eager you guys were to play it that must be hugely disappointing.

And knowing it's your Wii not the game sure doesn't make it better.

Still, it's just a minor little bump on the road of life. You'll be kicking a-- online in Brawl shortly, and for years to come.

Sorry about that guys. I honestly don't think it's dust. Was your Wii a "launch" Wii? I think it was early hardware not made to read duel layered discs, but that is just a conspiracy theory of mine. Keep us up to date on how this turns out. Seems not to be as widespread as RRoD according to Kotaku and most forum goers, but still, many are affected.

Nintendo will send email you a free shipping printoff and you can send it off that very day, and it should be back within 2 weeks or less. That is what I did cause my new gamecube controller sucks, so I had to send it in today.

It will be back soon, and better than new, so try to stay calm.

I'm gunna have to play a backup copy, instead of my real disc, until I figure out what to do. A japanese backup worked, so I'm assuming the NA backup one should work. I'll probably try it tomorrow......takes a long time. I was depressed the first few hours, after it happened, but I eventually got over it.

Smoking as an excuse for an optical reader not working got to be the lamest excuse I have ever read...
I would side with some of others posts on this thread and guess it's more to do with an issue with the first batch of Wii that was shipped..

 Will they do that for free, because you need to send in your Brawl disc as well, no?
