Now if only people would stop buying the fucking thing...

Some of the best fun I've had with friends has been playing the Mario Part series. Whilst I'd greatly prefer abandoning the cat and going back to the original format; this title looks to have a little for everyone so I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Well you can nearly play the old system when you own an amiibo! You also only need to own 1 amiibo, the rest can be unlocked with tokens then!

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

GameSpot - 6/10

Scored higher in Gamespot than Tipping Stars and Codename S.T.E.A.M. I can see some people complaining for that.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

The game offers what is supposed to offer. And people is going to buy it for that, because they enjoy it everytime, all Mario party have average scores but awesome sales. This will be the same.

Sigh... I'm probably going to pick it up sometime anyway but I know it'll never be as good as 2/3/6....

Mario Party is one of nintendo's few franchises that isn't consistently good.

I will buy it Day 1 if that helps lol.

In all honesty, Mario Party has been a key to keeping my love for Nintendo alive as the MP games are extremely fun regardless of their constant mid-low scores they've always gotten.  I'm always surprised Nintendo can keep finding new ways to make their mini-games since each MP game has like +/- 80 mini games.

Have you rounded up a group of close friends and played the hell out of a Mario Party game before?  If you haven't I'd strongly suggest it and if you and your friends are still not crazy about it then....add some booze in the mix =P

As a Mario Party fan that's played every god damn entry in the series (excluding the 3ds title.) I have to disagree with this statement, just because you enjoy one doesn't mean you'll enjoy the others especially now with the damn car they decided to put in starting with 9.

I loved 2/3/6

Enjoyed 1/5/ds

7/8 were below average

Disliked 4/9/gba

They were fun when they werent 80% luck based...

Mario Party 9 has 73 and this looks like a better version of that. It's funny considering Mario Party 9 is universally loathed by Mario Party fans yet it's the third highest Mario Party on metacritic.

It's just hard to take metacritic serious. Reviewers seem to have a bug up their ass this gen, but they still give away perfect tens as if it's nothing to lazy remasters like Resident Evil remake, Halo: MCC (not lazy, but broken), GTA V and TLOU: R.

I'm calling it now, only established franchises like Zelda, GTA, Arkham and Uncharted can get 90%+ anymore. Bloodborne as well, it's part of the Souls universe.
