In case you don’t remember, last year, while exhibiting the Playstation YouTube App, Sony “accidentally” leaked an image through the Share Option of the PS4, that showed off a picture from the game Uncharted 2, strangely named Uncharted 3.
This happened just two weeks after Naughty Dog had said that a PS4 Collection for Uncharted could be a “Cool thing to have.“.
Uncharted 4 was initially going to be released this year (2015), but it has been delayed until 2016 as Naughty Dog states that the game “is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned“.
With that said, one could imagine that an HD collection for the 200+ Award-winning-trilogy is possible, as a lot of positive aspects can be retained from it.
List of what both Naughty Dog and the consumer could gain with the HD Remaster:
- Naughty Dog could fill the gap of an entire year without a new product;
- PS4 users who don’t have access to a PS3, would be able to try the phenomenon that Uncharted was (is);
- Extra profit to finance future games; (cough) The Last of Us 2 (cough)
- The opportunity to see the, already magnificent, world of Nathan Drake in 1080p;
- -Sony‘s way to sell more Consoles on Christmas.
Plus, it didn’t have to actually be produced by Naughty Dog themselves, just like they did with Golden Abyss, they could assign this task to a smaller developer.
