IMO that and Xenoblade are very similar, so if you liked that you should enjoy Xenoblade as well.

I'd say only in terms of battle system (and even then only superficially.) Xenoblade has vaster, more open worlds, side-quest chains (FFXII had side-quests, but not really much as far as long chains go), the stories and setting are very different, Xenoblade has an atmosphere distinct from FFXII, etc, etc. The only similarity is the battle system, and again it is a superficial similarity, the specifics of their systems are very different.

Why do you include 2010, anyway? The decade started in 2011.

Nope, the 2010s started in 2010, for fairly obvious reasons

May be my mores, but decades here always start like that, because our era started January 1 of year 1, hence the first decade ended in December 31 of year 10.

The thing with decades though is that we don't say the 201st or 202nd decade, just the time period of 10 years so starting with 0 and going to 9.It would really be strange trying to say 2000 is part of the 90s and 1990 isn't. Even though 2000 is the last year of the 20th century and second millenia it's still the start of the oughts.

Its between Dark Souls 2 and ZombiU for me.

It's ok if the OP hasn't included Nintendo games. Most of those games are only good my Nintendo standards. You can't put Mario Galaxy up against Halo, Uncharted, God of War, or The Last Of Us and show them all to an unbiased gamer and think anyone would pick Galaxy out of the bunch.

Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the best games ever made, people will forget almost every game on that list, but Mario Galaxy 2 will still be remembered as the masterpiece it is, that´s what happens with timeless classics. And that´s not a biased thing, that is a fact.

And when people end their opinions with the statement "that's not an opinion, that's a fact", they lose credibility. But yeah, The Last Of Us, Uncharted, and Halo will all be forgotten soon. Also, here's my made up fact: The Last Of Us is eternally better than any and every Mario game. FACT!!!

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Where are you from? May be different there.

But here (UK) it goes from 0-9. I mean, it would be odd to consider the year 2000 to be part of the 90s wouldn't it?

From northern Mexico. Few but a considerable amount of people do think that a decade starts at 0 instead of 1 though, it depends with each person, although it's not a very discussed topic, might be the reason why there's no universal consensus. Also, when people talk about the 80s, for example, people usually refer to the mid-years, 1983, 84, 85, 86, etc... there's no beginning, it just feels like the 80s. And yead, it's weird, but we can live with it

no, literally a particular decade would be from 00-09, 2010-2019, or in your example, 1980-1989. there is no debate about that. personally you can 'feel' whatever you want but stating that the definition of a decade in terms of literal years in the human accepted timeline is arguable is incorrect

In my most humble opinion you are missing a few great games on that voting list (RDR, Portal 2, Skyrim, Mario Galaxy 2) but not a huge deal since I would have picked TLOU anyway.

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Dark Souls
(terrible list)
