Forums - Gaming - Sonic or Mario?

Mario. No contest. Sonic was good during the 16-bit era and that's it. Mario's games are deeper and more polished in every way.

I'm curious why you have to argue everyone elses opinion that says sonic or gives any reason why they think a sonic game might be better.

Seriously, who gives a fuck

Because Sonic games have been trash for well over a decade.

*In your opinion.

Mario, because he's never changed. He's the same badass plumber with a mustache and overalls that he's been for 30 years. He refuses to compromise.

Sonic used to be awesome. Then, he had an identity crisis, painted his arms blue and started wearing a neckerchief. He doesn't even know who he is any more.

He started out as a carpenter. :p

I'm surprised so many people say Sonic yet everyone complains whenever a new Sonic game is made.

Really?? Well, guess my whole argument just unraveled.....:P

I still like Mario better, though.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Mario, not even a competition, Mario is probably as diverse a character can be although his brother is the more badass of the two.

Consumers and critics seem to agree with me.

Sonic Lost World, Sonic Boom and Sonic Racing Transformed all flopped.

You mean the same critics and consumers that make Call of Duty the best selling franchise in the world?

Yeah, wouldn't put too much value in that :P

Sonic. Oh wait, you mean it's not 1992 anymore?

Then Mario.

And it's not even close.

Lol, you have a point there.

Did you get my message? Vgchartz is acting a bit glitchy for me.

Sonic Racing Transformed is actually a good game, but the sales have been bad imo, it deserves more. Was probably still profitable though.

But Mario Kart 8 sold more than double of SRT (which was released on 7 platforms).

Mario by far...

Yeah and I replied but some weird error page popped up lol so I assumed it went through. Sonic Racing Transformed was fun, the gameboy advance game Sonic Battle was a blast and then the Sonic Adventure games I enjoyed as well. That's pretty much it.

As far as Marios core games go, I've enjoyed Sunshine and the handheld RPGs like Superstar Saga, Partners In Time and Bowsers Inside Story. Then the staples like Mario kart, super smash bros, mario party etc but those don't just belong to him
