I still think it's too early for optimism. The boost is clearly due to the hardware refresh, and nothing more. The decline is still as real as ever.

Did you read the OP? Nobody stated that it'll be up YoY, ieven put out a scenario in the OP stating that 3DS Will not see more than a 43% Decline YoY. (Using 50k per month for the next 8 months and much lower Nov+Dec)

The holiday 2014 was damaged by the N3DS incoming, i think that if Nintendo havent annunced the N3DS, the sales in 2014 was some like:

It won't be up YoY but it can be close.

If it averages 100k/month from March-October (it averaged 125k in the same months last year) than it will be even thru the first 10 months. The holidays will most likely be down from last year when it did 1.325m in Nov+Dec, 1 million this year is quite possible so the total YoY decline will probably only look like 15%.
