Respown was created with the backing of EA. Lol. Without Microsoft they could have made the game with ease.

Hopefully they allow time to make a true sequel not just Titan fall 1.5. But knowing Activision it will be out before Uncharted 4 :(

Oh I forgot Microsoft published the first Titanfall, oh wait they actually didn't. First they just paid for timed exclusive then paid for it not to come to PS4. |

A couple different reasons. Essentially, Microsoft was talking with them about Durango very early on and courting them to move Titanfall over to that. They asked Sony if they could talk to them about the next Playstation, but Sony constantly said they weren't ready to discuss. It even mentions Sony were willing to help Respawn to get a Vita version of the game. It mentions that they essentially pleaded with Sony, saying "Listen, things are about to be locked in behind the scenes. If you want this, please talk to us", which Sony again declined.
It also mentions that at a point later in development, Zampella and West sat down with Riccitiello to tell him that they didn't have enough manpower to develop for any consoles other than Xbone and, maybe, PC, and that Respawn was essentially out of money and the game would need to be delayed and that they'd cut single player. EA ended up having to find the funding for the project with a first party, and Microsoft were willing to put up the money to actually finish the game.

Personally, I liked CoD AW much more than TF, although TF was undoubtedly a good shooter with top notch gameplay.
EDIT: Forgot to say that by this I mean I won't pick this up, despite my original intentions to do so.

If this is coming to PS4 then it had better have a proper single player campaign.
From what I understand the multiplayer is very good and all that really mattered about the 1st game, but the concept has so much potential for a big and deep single player campaign, hopefully Respawn can take advantage of that fact.
Hopefully this will be a current gen exclusive and use a well optimized engine for all of those systems.
TBH the game shouldn't have had the resolution, frame rate and screen tearing issues it had on the XBox One, especially when a weaker PC GPU and similar spec CPU can run the game superior to the XB1 version of Titanfall 1.
I think we may see something about this at E3, with a 2016 release date being likely.
I'm glad to hear this though, if it's true I'll give the game a go, assuming the factors I mentioned above addressed, some other additions should be made like destructible environment features, maybe other vehicles (basically turn it into a futuristic BF, with mechs, loads of weapon and vehicle varieties, with the feel that TF seems to give of in it's tone). I think there's a load of potential here for this to be the next big seller and going to PS4 can only expand the game's install base IMO.

Glad to hear its being worked on already.
Few things i want. More weapons is an absolute must. That was my one gripe in the first game. Just didnt feel like it had enough. The Assault Rifle was the best weapon in the game and it was the first weapon in the game.....so yeah.
And maybe add a singleplayer as well. Not a big deal to me, but it would shut up a lot of people that complained so much about it, though i still believe that has more to do with exclusive than anything else.
Other than that, fantastic game, so im excited :)

Lol I don't believe that at all. Really? EA doesn't have the money to fund this game? It was basically CoD. Like EA would miss that chance. Just PR talk.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"
"That tire-screeching sound? That's fanboys suddenly deciding to care about a game."
I read that on ign and even though I'm a PS guy it made me laugh hard! Well played :)

If you read the IGN link you will find the guy saying it was a business ($$$$) decision.
"Dusty clarified the exclusivity was always a business decision rather than anything else."
Enjoyed beta testing the first one and eventually buying it cheaply (albiet not from the origin store), the free DLC going on atm is quite nice and I'm still able to find a match every single time so far.
Hopefully with them aking the new one for current gen platforms and dumping last gen should mean increase in quality, I'd at least expect insane textures to actually work this time on PC unlike the 1st one where you actually get less performance and visuals compared to the high/higher setting, I'd also expect screen tearing to be resolved and hopefully better visuals overall.
Also since this game is going to be multiplatform I'd expect and knowing how many do nto root for EA let alone Respawn I'd at least expect no sales war crap for this game, if there is then we know which side it's likely to come from, they should quit there and then and be glad that they get to play the game.
I don't mind the game being mostly multiplayer, the campaign itself isn't exactly amazing and it doesn't strike me as the type of game that reall badly needs a cinematic super deep story to it.
