Watch all the previous haters of Titanfall get interested in it because its multiplatform

I will probably pick it up at some point, but I have to say, I really feel like I didn't get my money's worth with the first one. It's selling for some ridiculous low price for PC and I bought it at full price and with the season pass. Oh well...that's what happens when you buy into hype. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, but Titanfall came out around the time I started following video game news and visiting VGChartz and I got really excited about the game. I hope the second one is good though. No one should ever hope for a game to be bad.

So basically the same number of platforms, just dropping 360 in favour of PS4. Makes a lot of sense because by the time Titanfall 2 comes out the PS4 install base will get them far more sales than the active remnants of the 360 install base.

They are working on a name because basically they can't really have an acronym that already belongs to Team Fortress 2 (TF2).

I think they should try to deliver the SP experience that Destiny teased but fell short. EA and Respawn have seen what an unopposed Destiny was able to do, and EA desperately wants to not allow Activision to be number 1 in both the modern military shooter and sci-fi shooter departments. Even though CoD is on the wane it still owns the modern military shooter sub-genre and will continue to do so for a few years yet.

What, no Wii U version? I'm outraged! ; ) Titanfall 2 can only do better now with being on the PS4 too, unless they somehow screwed it up...

Only really interested in this game if they have a decent SP campaign. Or, at the very least, good local co-op. Hopefully, they will get this running 1080p 60fps on the PS4.

With this announcement, now I'm hoping Capcom will announce DR3 for PS4. Or DR4 for both.

Pretty sure most of the haters targetted the lack of SP campaign for most of their criticism. It was a nice big target for them to aim at. If the next game has a SP campaign, and as long as it's not just a long tutorial on how to use the different Titans, then those haters have a very convenient, and somewhat legitimate, reason to now be on board with Titanfall.

TBH, no SP campaign was a mistake. It was perhaps a risk that was worth taking, but it didn't really pay off. As was going MS exclusive. Of course if Xb one carried on with the momentum 360 built up (which is probably what EA was expecting), being MS exclusive would not have been much of a risk, and TF could have remained MS exclusive for good. But it's hard to walk away from what might become a 2:1 install base advantage, with a pretty substantial fps fanbase on it. And MS clearly didn't want to pay what EA would be asking to do that. It is also hard to put a price on the ambition to have the number 1 shooter in your stable, which cannot be achieved without PS.

Going MS exclusive wasn't a mistake because Respawn wanted to keep the IP. So instead of going to EA and asking for more money, MS gave them money to finish development.

Not to mention the more EA is involved the higher the risk of shit.

Nice, I hope this time around it has a good story mode, I don't like online only game.
