Quite a good month for Hardware. Taxes must have a bigger effect now then in the past to make February so huge. I hope next month is surprisingly good too. (Need PS3 and 360 numbers though.)

What the Wii U and the PSVita needs now, is continue to increase hardware sales comparing to its previous year.

If you were to ask me I'd have predicted lower figures for the U and the 3DS, so good job Nintendo. Good numbers all round Infact, which is nice.

Also the fact that near everything was undertracked by roughly the same percentage provides much hope for the tracking of VGC. Perhaps it was a little under this time, but it still suggests that the algorithms are right and that we could perhaps begin to trust in more accurate results.

Everything was undertracked by roughly the same percentage? 3DS under 9%, PS4 under 34%, ONE under 37%, WiiU over 3%, Vita way off.

Confdence in the algorithms? The same alogrithms that were adjusted 2 months ago when they had the ps4 too high that have now been adjusted the opposite way because the ps4 was too low? and adjusts the ONE down when the ps4 is adjusted down ("because of the algorithm") but not when its the opposite way?

I'd say, politely, that they are hit and miss right now.

3DS and PS4 V. good, ONE good, WiiU still poor.  Vita...no words.

 

 

It dosn't look like vgchartz update previous weeks yet,but in front page they put ps4 at 20.2 like Sony announced



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

They only HAVE to lower the price if xbox is selling significantly more which they dont. 

Just get this, the only thing that could stop or delay Sony from dropping the price is if from their internal projections they realize they wouldn't be able to meet demand. 

This is ultimately not about making more from each console unit sold, or about "selling more" than the XB1, its about increasing your user base as quickly as possible. Look at it this way, If Sony sells 15M PS4s this year at $400 or 20M if they drop the price to $300 at some point, those extra 5M gives their overall user base a massive boost. Those are 5M more people to sell games to or buy PS+ sub's. Basically, they stand more to gain getting as many consoles out there rather than making a profit on each console sold but selling less of them.
