If its $10/month, it has a chance otherwise, its not gonna do too well imo

I don't think Sony wants to go bankrupt.

Services like Netflix doesn't go bankrupt with its cheap prices, why would Sony go bankrupt? Heck, Cable TV doesn't even have the movies that netflix offers on their standard plans

This isn't a netflix type service. It's live TV with catch up and cloud storage. I'm not sure what other cable services charge for those channels in the US but in the UK you can pay up to £60 ($90?) a month for cable, the most expensive being Sky.

It's not the movies, but the live tv shows and sports that probably prevent it from costing as cheap as Netflix.

Netflix has sports and tv shows as well though

I'm guessing he means live sports.

Since when did Netflix have sports? And they usually get the TV shows after the season is complete, not during, as far as I know.

Well, Netflix had stuff like WWE and UFC for a while but granted they don't have stuff like Fifa or Tennis. And yes, they do get some shows/movies later than whats on TV but I mean, as more services such as HBO Go/Now goes online without requiring you to have a provider, I think Cable TV will become more and more useless. Specially at the prices those services are offering for streaming.

$50-$80 per month. Feck off! This service should be competing with Netflix prices, not cable. Hell at least provide a heavily discounted sub for PSN+ subscribers. However, if it allows you to de-cablise your house maybe it's worth it. But for me I don't have a pay TV subscription so pay TV pricing is not at all of interest to me.

Come down and learn the difference maybe, Vue is not a netflix competitor.  Its giving you live tv.

I did write the bold bit too. I've siad feck off to subscription based TV too, because I don't use it. So I am basically anti any service that offers you 75 channels of mostly crap where you have to pay for it all. I would rather pay only for what I watch, or only for channels to which I want to subscribe. I'll sign up for HBOGo once it decouples itself from cable subscription. But I won't subscribe to cable just so I can get HBO I'm on Netflix because it charges so little for a great deal of content, and even if I only watch Netflix originals and the occasional back catalogue movie or TV series each month it is well worth it. I also subscribe to another streaming service as it provides just enough content ot make it worthwhile, but they don't charge pay TV prices.

Yea but can't you watch those live sports online for free though? I have watched hockey online for free and it was live

Legally you probably can't without paying a sub fee.

Well if its that easy to google and find it and google is easily accessible to everyone with an internet connection, I do think it will be an issue

I know it's easy to stream. I do it all the time But the quality can be shit and if there was a cheap, legal way to do it I'd pay the money for it. Frankly I think Vue has too many channels at the moment that will probably drive the cost of it up.
