Ugh, I didn't make this thread to get reprimanded by strangers!

You asked for a reaction to your story, and you got it. And nobody is reprimanding anybody.

The majority of responses in this thread have pointed out that:

a) When a situation like this develops, Minecraft (or insert any other fad of the moment) is not at fault; rather, it is a mix of playground peer pressure and inadequate guidance from adults responsible for bringing up and/or educating those kids.

b) Theft is wrong, period.

Of all the responses in this thread, I think Tachikoma sums it up the best:

I can understand to an extent why your rage is leading you to blame Minecraft for the problem with your Vita. But Minecraft isn't at fault. If Minecraft didn't exist, the same situation could just as easily have occurred over something else.

You can't resolve a problem (and take steps to prevent it from happening again) unless you can see the real root cause. Several people here have made the effort to show you what that real root cause is, in this thread.

I hope that the situation resolves itself in the end, or at least that some good will come out of it.

Better that playing the FPS trash that is over advertised now. Sorry about the VITA though, next time try buying it on a console, that way there is more control (On your hands)

Haha I can agree here. My mom is Korean and if I ever did anything even close to this, I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week. 

OP, sorry about your Vita. Truly sucks and I hope you get it replaced, preferrably by the bully's parents. Total BS.
